Discussion: 3rd Person Game Modes returning in COD Ghosts?

So with IW announcing that there is going to be character customization in COD Ghosts, do you think that 3rd Person game modes will make a return?

The last time COD implemented 3rd Person game modes was MW2 but I recall it being the least popular compared to other game modes.

In my opinion, character customization is worth having when you can actually see your character in 3rd person in a match.

An example of this was the game "Brink". It had a great in-depth character customization system but it was a waste of time creating some sweet looking characters considering that all you could see is your weapon.

Unless, character customization is vital to your character's abilities in multiplayer, I don't see the point of an in-depth customization system when all you can see is your weapon in 1st person.

What is your opinion on character customization and 3rd person game modes?

Am i the only one going through this?? pls help

Am i the only who is having trouble with connection issues and getting connection interrupted, freezing then eventually getting signed out of psn network?? It's been happening the past 3 days and i cant figure what it is thats causing this to happen.. i do the connection test and it all passes but i have trouble signing in but even when i do sign in the same things happen and get signed out within 15 min or less.. getting real sick of this and if someone can help i would appreciate it cuz this is the last straw for me before i stop playing this broken game

Hello to all players,

My name is Cj and I am here with Come Correct Gaming or CcGx. We are a clan that has both PS3 and Xbox players, at this moment we have around 300+ members and maybe a little more. Our members range from USA, EU, and Australia, so we are a very diverse group of people.

Here at CcG we are a very laid back clan that likes to joke around laugh and have fun. We are also setting up interclan matches: The winners get bragging rights and Microsoft Points!

Even though we are a laid back clan when the time comes and we need to get playing we are the exact opposite, during a match we know: where each player is, what they are doing offense/defense, and even what guns are being used. Communication is always a big thing for us and thats how we win

whats the point of going high rounds, i for example got to round 34 3 downs 3 afterlife, game disconnects me from server. seriouly?! dont worry this dont happen everytime i finally beat my record at round 30......

Hi all, if you are looking for players to team up and who don't quit, make a comment here.

This could be a post to find players who don't quit so make a comment saying if you want to play MoTD, Die Rise, Tranzit or any of the Tranzit survival maps, if you want to do or happy to help with any of the EE as well.

If you want me to join up with you or start a lobby with you my GT is the same as here. I'm happy to play with anyone from beginner to advanced. My highest on MoTD is 40 so I'm ok and know what I am doing.

I attempted to play somewhere's between 5-6 games today of MOTD... Nothing but rage quitting & people backing out. This last time ( about 10 minutes ago ) the entire squad raged & all quit. I was able to play for about a minute & my console locked up & froze... Why? Why has this kind of thing been happening since the release ( It happened much on Tranzit as well w/ players backing out.) & has not been corrected? This issue is causing my Sony Ps3 super slim a data corruption error! I'm not trying to make any threats but as a consumer I find this type of issue in the "defective catagory..." I would some sort of response why this is happening & what I can do to correct this issue. Thank you.

Evil Dead Forum Challenge

First attempt at a forum Challenge with winners declared. Hopefully this gets enough interest to bring a little friendly competition to the forum and give us something to discuss when interesting topics are dry. As of now, the challenge is only for Xbox players since I have no way of checking games on other systems. If this is successful enough for another challenge after, then hopefully we can get some judges for other consoles.

EVIL DEAD CHALLENGE MAY 14th - 31st 2013

The Challenge -

Keep Marlton alive as long as possible at the Cabin on Tranzit.

Rules -

UPDATE - Can be done with 1 - 4 players as long as somebody is Marlton.

The game is over when Marlton goes down, as he represents Ash who was the last one to survive. Once he goes down the first time, its over. Doesn't need to bleed out, so stop killing zombies once he's down.

Players have to be at the cabin at the beginning of round 2 and cannot leave the inside of the cabin or porch areas other than to grab a dropped power up and then have to return immediately back to the cabin. No training around outside. So starting the game with money in the vault is recommended.

Players can grab any perks, weapons, equipment, or buildables they want other than the ray gun and Galvaknuckles. They can use claymore, bowie knife, and any box weapon other than the ray gun. The only weapons that can be pack a punched are Shotguns, and each player can only have 1 PaP weapon.

Downed players cannot use their Mustangs. Accidents happen when going down and panicking, so a quick shot or two is forgivable, but anything else is not allowed.

No glitching.

Penalties to player's scores can be added for violations.

Also, a single person can be on up to two winning teams. So 1st place could be players A, B, C, and D and third place could be players A, E, F, and G. No more than one player can be on another winning team, and that player can only be on two of the top 4.

Winning -

Team that lasts the highest round and most combined kills by the team win. The deadline for submitting games is May 31st.

Top Team gets the their names on the Challenge Trophy which goes up on a leaderboard trophy case, which either grows with more trophies, and probably better ones from the community, or disappears into the abyss of the forum depending on how well this goes. 2nd through 4th place will get their names on some kind of award or board that will accompany the winners.

Submitting -

Once you think you have a game worth submitting, send me a Personal Message on this forum. Include someone's Gamertag who has the game in their Theater mode and whose friend list isn't full so I can send them a friend request. They don't need to accept me as a friend and once the challenge is over they an decline it. Just need to check their theater games to make sure no one cheated. Also include how long the game was so I can find it, what round you reached, how many kills combined the team had, a name for the team in case you are in the top 4, and a list of the team members. Doesn't have to be their GT. Can be whatever they would want listed on the leaderboard.

I'll start posting the top 4 teams during the week and I'll stop taking submissions the 31st. Up until this Friday, I will leave the high rounds and kills off the leaderboard so no one knows what the top team has. Then on Friday I will add the scores so people know what to shoot for for the last week. Hopefully have the winners up soon after.

If this goes over well, then we can try to pick new challenges and keep the winners list going. Something that will help us pass the time in between DLCs since we still have some time before the next one and who knows when the last is coming. And hopefully we can get people to judge other systems so everyone can get involved and have one leaderboard that includes each console.

Would it be too much to ask for actual PING numbers instead of these "bars?

IM looking to be part of a team or creat a team that is very good and never looses i just reset my stats but i can be good with very good teamates i like to play demolition because i hate spawn switching but ill play anything if you want to start a team like this just post your gt on here or if you already have a really good team that i cold join. and mabye we can creat a clan a good clan only and by being good i mean like being the top on every leaderbored basicly.:P

I know there's a gazillion posts about lag on every COD forum but I've always skipped reading them because in my own COD experience the lag was quite managable and only a few games a night were bad enough to quit out (aside from the horrific lag comp introduced in MW3 of course). But the last week or so EVERY game is lagging at least a little. I KNOW its not just my connection because I ALWAYS play with 3-5 friends and they are all experiencing the same thing I am. Did they wreck something in the last update? I hope with the new consoles coming out they can improve this or at the very least start looking at dedicated servers.

Should give us some more freebies xD

I really wish I could have saved and showed you guys what I just witnessed. I started playing a game of dom on vertigo and everything seemed to be normal, then we had a host migration a few seconds into the second round and that's when everything got crazy. After the host migration neither team could kill each other!! I mean both teams were shooting each other and bullet count in my gun was decreasing but no hitmarkers and no bullets connected. I ran and stood right in front of an enemy sentry gun and it was shooting me but it wasn't damaging me. It was like both teams were invincible. Then myself and another guy on the enemy team were talking and we stood right in front of each other and started shooting... nothing so we both jumped to our demise and I was stuck out of map and could not respawn. I could watch my mini-map and see people were still running around, but stuck in limbo in the clouds. I had no choice but to gladly quit the game. Has anybody seen anything remotely like this before? Any idea what the heck happened? Thanks.

Welcome to the first ever COD:HQ firehouse. Do to the increased amount of "flaming" on the forums, fires are starting everywhere and need to be delt with. Come on in, and enjoy yourself while we wait for a call. The break room is upstairs equipped with a flat screen tv and plenty of recliners, and the fire poles double as stripper poles.

To keep this thread legitimit I will be appointing officers. I currently need the following:

i will also need regular firefighters, and if you dont abide by the rules rookies. With that being said lets lay down the rules:
