Indeed. This "early access" to DLC has been somewhat of a joke thus far.

Damage control? There was quite a bit of rage over the fact that "game modes" were being included as DLC.

@pjmara5 No new update, other than I know they're looking into it. GUN DLC is possible I just don't know how probable.

So basically Activision expects everybody to jump on board and once again pay full price for "Elite 2.0" in November to get all the features that were promised (in what will be) one year ago?

I had the most fun with MW2 and the least in MW3 (at least up until the Infected playlist came out... love it!), Black Ops made me rage the most, and CoD4 felt the most balanced in terms of weapons (though that might be nostalgia...).

Note that I wasn't demanding or defending the nerfs. The OP went overboard in claiming that IW was nerfing weapons left and right so I posted this info to show otherwise.

I only spent $20 for Elite so i can't really complain about getting all the DLC for MW3 at that price.

There have only been three "nerfs" (outside of bug fixes):

- Shotgun "rebalance"

- FMG9 nerf

- Type-95 nerf

Arguably, only one of the nerfs has had any real impact on the game and that would be the shotgun "rebalance".

If you only buy two map packs then you're actually saving $30 (Activision has stated there will be $60 worth of DLC with map packs costing $15).

Seriously... you do realize that almost no CoD DLC to date has ever been released to the PS3 at EXACTLY one month after the Xbox? Releasing on a set day makes it kind of difficult to release DLC at exact one month intervals.

Yes it's dumb that PS3 users have to wait a month to receive their DLC but so is assuming that paying for Elite would invalidate Microsoft and Activision's contract. Hopefully Activision doesn't allow Microsoft to renew the contract but the chances of that happening are pretty slim.
