Locking this thread. There's tons of discussion about Lag / Anti-lag and they're constantly performing tests and discussion.

I have had matchmaking issues and lag problems from the time i bought the game on release day, its had its ups and downs but mostly downs.

They had the recipe for a great game and then made it out of dogmeat.

And i will not be buying blops 2 on release day as i have done with almost every other cod title until i hear positive feedback about it and if the matchmaking and lag comp is the same or similar to mw3 i will be keeping my money. I dont see why i should pay to have a top quality isp when the game seems to favour those with crap connections and shaft those of us with good ones..

Fully agree with that and now that all the millions have been made it will never be fixed.

Once Blops 2 is out MW3 will be swept under the carpet and never be patched again which is a shame because just like previous titles they will not remove it from sale and just like with all the previous COD games you will be able to buy a hacked and unusable product.

This ain't happening, they don't care, they have our money already and it's not goingto hurt they're sales cuz people are still buying MW3 and are gonna still buy BO2 regardless.

Will never happens , this is mostly ridiculus , Activision and IW probably have hundreads of devs and employes but fixing their game is so hardcore , we can't understand , but for sur it's the last CoD from Infinity ward i ever buy , as it just get crap and crapier , and MW3 is just a modern copy of black ops , they stole alot from it . but only the **** things . they like making ****** and unfinished game i wont be tricked again .

Black ops used the local selection or extended selection in the game: you could choose the local option to find local severs and games (now thats done automatically). if there weren't enough games or to many, the system would switch you to branch out to extended and would find you a server or game nearest to you so you could play. If your internet speed fast at first and then dropped off, then it was to slow for that server then you would lag, but that was the best selection for you to be able to play at the first part of the game b/c of your internet speed. since you became to slow for it, that is where the sever disconnection sign comes in. that means YOU where to slow for that server. don't get mad a the server get mad at your internet, it was to slow. you where the cause of the lag.

Yes that would help, but then thats were the factor of is there enough people in that location to fill the lobbys (if not then you would have to branch out and find some to fill it)(that was tried with Black Ops) and could the sever handle it, if the sever can't handle it (B/c of to many people) then lag would be a factor again in that area. yes you could boost the servers but why would you do that when you can run two or more areas off one server.

Example: east coast runs 2 serves for 1000 people, west coast 3 servers for 1500 people, mid lands 1 server for 500. that is 500 people to each server,there would be no lag. but thats in a world were all have the same internet speed.

(the real world)

just say, (500 people max servers) if you have 2 servers that have 800 people and another 2 servers with 1200 people, then the other 200 can branch out to the other 2 servers to fill the slot so the servers are not over loaded and that would be great, but again peoples internet speeds would play a factor in lag. one mans may be fast enough at one point of the game and then drop off later. that would cause lag.

all in all it's the people we play with that causes the lag. one internet is faster than the other.

Someone should go to one of the many petition sites and make one then post the link so everyone can sign a legit petition instead of just posting in a discussion saying "signed". Someone did that in the black ops 2 forum.

Even though I signed this:

Lag is always going to be there for the simple fact that people in this world have different internet speeds. yes that is were matchmaking comes in to play but still you are going to have peoples internet speeds fluctuating b/c it may inter the match a one speed and during the match their speed may drop due to other devises on the signal or just the type of internet service.

to sum this up you are always going to have lag when it comes to peoples internet speeds being to slow.

if you want to know more about lag just google the word and read about it.

What would that accomplish? I don't think legally they are required to make sure we don't experience lag.

OMG why won't they fix this game? I've been playing multi-player shooters since Magestorm in the mid-nineties and this is the worst gameplay experience I have ever had. And what would it really take to fix it....just turn the lag comp down.
