Try going here and trying this http://community.callofduty.com/message/205575481#205575481. I know some systems that if the games RPMs are below a certain point or something minute such as that can cause this

I am sorry to hear you are having this problem. When these sort of errors occur, it can be a result of one of three things;

1. Data on the console

2. The disc

3. The console itself

As you have already cleared the cache and it's still skipping, this removes the possibility of data on the console causing this error.

I recommend that you try your game disc on a different console (friend, family, retailer). If the same thing happens on a different XBox, then the issue will be damage to that disc. However if the game plays perfectly fine on a different console, then you may want to contact Microsoft to assist you with your console.

If the disc is damaged, you can file a warranty replacement for the game at http://warranty.activision.com.

Hi, I was playing MW3 (Xbox 360) on Veteran Campaign, and i was halfway through a mission and then it came up with disc unreadable? it crashed my xbox and since starting it up it took 4 reboots to successfuly get to the dashboard, it is running slower than usual now, It also for a time reset my avatar and gamerscore. I Re-downloaded my profile and i have them back now, But every time i play MW3 the intro starts skipping and i can get as far as the campaign menu before it brings up disc unreadable.

I have never had a problem with this disc, i have had it since launch (Hardened) it is instaled to my HDD, it has no marks or sctratches what so ever.I have tried clearing my cache and re-installing the disc. Still no luck... Also since this whole problem, my xbox keeps freezing on the dashboard when i view my friends list, join parties Etc.

I dont know what to do...
