Download PunkBuster, pbsetup for all windows games, and place pbsetup folder unziped in the folder of your game, the same for pbsvc. The first time you launch pbsetup for pb updates, add game, you just have to specify all folders of mw3 in program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/call of duty mw3, then you click the button add and you check updates.

For add game, you add CoD4 for MW3 and WaW for BO2, You should add all folders of your game, each time there is a folder you add this folder with the appropriate game of the game engine.

Add to the pb folder of your game the manualy update of pbsec.htm, pbsecsv.htm, pbsvnew.dll corresponding.

Then download and install as administrator pbsvc.exe, And Run the services in task manager of pnkbstA and pnkbstB.

It's said that bans with pb are lifted without MD5 tool. So put md5tool.exe before the folder of call of duty modern warfare 3 and you open the cmd dos and type cd c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common then you type in cmd dos md5tool.exe "call of duty modern warfare 3"\iw5mp.exe 0 2048. It create a txt file with wordpad named pbsvuser.cfg that you put in pb folder, it done:

pb_sv_md5tool a 1.9.453 v "call of duty modern warfare 3"\iw5mp.exe SZ6030488 AT0 LEN6030488 123DFA99FDCAF19645EFAD5284BBE412
pb_sv_md5toolfreq 1

So a cfg is autocreate and you can change the number of bytes size SZ6030488 to LEN2048 giving LEN6030488 by copy/paste this size.

Launch PBucon.exe placed in pb folder, and type I Agree then 192.168. two times, then a login name and a password of your choice.

The pbsetup, pbsvc, pbucon and md5tool are found on the site of PunkBuster.

For md5tool you put md5tool.exe before the folder of call of duty modern warfare 3 and you open the cmd dos and type cd c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common then you type in cmd dos md5tool.exe "call of duty modern warfare 3"\iw5mp.exe 0 2048.

How to enable VAC:

1. Restore the pc without windows update.

2. Unpeer all folders by click right on it and check the unpeer options or in properties like the folder user in C:\, and within this folder by click right on the blank.

3. Quit the residentiel group in control panel and change options.

4. Uncheck windows functionnalities like xps, tablet, games. Let only internet explorer.

5. Repair steam each days with the steam installer, it take only 2 minutes, no need to download again your steam games when you repair with the installer.

6. Uninstall the maximum of programs, let only steam, steam games, realtek and graphic card manager.

7. Delete in program files\steam\steamapps\common\mw3 all files that you think, with their dates, they were changes by hackers and in properties of mw3 on the library of steam, verify the integrity of files.

8. Open on your modem and your firewall the tcp/udp ports of steam write on steam support web site. To open these firewall ports follow on microsoft web site the instructions. When it's ok, block with the same way the tcp/udp port 3074 because antimalware antibytes blocks it in the same time of all the ip blocked.

11. Clear all your mw3 files, verify the integrity in properties of the game in steam, launch the game, it make an install, quit the game, and put all files to read only.

12. Install the certificate of pbsvc then launch it, you can google pbsvc to download it on the official site.

13. Launch pbsetup and check updates like explain in this thread. because punkbuster is the worst nightmare of cheaters.

14. Put md5tool in your mw3 game directory and use cmd dos like explain on the official site, you can change 2048 by 5000 or whatever. Put the pbsvuser.cfg in pb folder of the game directory.

15. Open the firewall and your modem to allow udp ports 27666, 24300-24399.

16. You can enjoy to buy BO 2 and play MW3 a bit of time untill the next blockbuster comes.

You suggestions will not ever stop hackers or cheater from getting in the game. You know nothing about doing so. all your suggestion will do is cause problems for people to use their computer normally.

Those tools will not stop anyone from cheating in the game if they really want too. There is no 100% way to ever stop hackers or cheaters ever in any game online and never will be.

3074 is used by windows media player to share music and videos it has notthing to do with games. Again you prove you do not really know what you are talking about and hopefully no one has listened to you or done anything you suggested since it will only cause them more problems then any good.

9. Install the security certificates in properties with the tab numeric signature of steaminstaller and iw5mp.

10. Report by clicking on the profil in steam display profil players by starting to blocking all communications with the cheater and after by copy/paste it's profil adress when you report abuse the suspected cheating cheater.

You can not upeer all files or folders, Windows by default will always share the public folder no matter what you do to it.

Stopping any of those functions will not stop hackers from getting in to your system. Nor will it prevent cheaters from joining your game.

You do not need to repair steam each day for that will not stop cheaters or hackers either.

Many of those svchost.exe do not do anything until needed by another program. Removing it will not stop hackers or cheaters.

Nothing you listed here will prevent cheaters or hackers from getting on the game. And hakcers do not hack your copy they hack and modify their own copy of the game. Nothing is done to yours on your pc.

So once more your list does not help anyone or stop anything.

You have reason for these three tools useless because it disable vac. So what it necessary to do for vac enable because it exist really and cheaters needs to change their game files and hackers our pc files.

I noticed a java folder in c:\program with files modify the 20 september, the same day of an update of hackers. Strange!!! They was a svchost.exe that allow dll as exe, but this one was useless for running my pc.

Even with all three of those players that really want to cheat will learn how. There is no 100% fool proof way to ever stop cheating online ever and never will be.

Finally, I use 3 anticheat systems: An antiwallhack called cleandod, a secure matchmaking called gameguard and a steam banner called easyanticheat. With it cheaters can't by pass and will be eliminate like vermin.

Those are just the lists of IP's that had been caught hacking or cheating before. The thing is those ip may not be even be in use anymore if the hacker/cheater knows how to make their ip change. so that list is realitively useless.

True, it is easy for those that know how. Any game can be hacked or cracked even a signed game that tries to validate. The crackers would just have the code injected after the validation was done and remvoed at the end of the match before the next check was done in a lobby before match start up. Same as how DII map hacks work with the warden service of Blizzard. Warden checks at the load screen but in most cases never checks during the game itself. So map hacks are loaded after you get in to the game. Same could be done with hacks to MW3 or any other game even those that validated files on launch.

You’re not entirely correct. The dependency files and libraries on the OS are not what get hacked, in most cases. It is company created files and content. They can sign any number of files they’ve created and validate the signature at start up. This will not completely omit hacking because eventually someone can get the key they used to sign the files with but it will make it more difficult.

In the end, you are statement about never being 100% hack proof is correct. But as it stands now, they make it super easy.

Elimination of cheaters isn't due to admins or the two dlic patch, there isn't all of this. It's my cause only in DOM with the two dlc, by believing trialstardragon saying nobody follow what I said. So don't cry if there is cheaters. PunkBuster run, my thread is a tool for how to used it. Don't cry as babys. If you don't follow it, I can scream on you and cheaters, because it's hard to eliminate alone unconscious and unsoul people cheating.

To update punkbuster with games that said htm md5s do not match information, error, try later, you can add these games in fact (Bullet Run, Battlefield bad company 2, black light retribution, Battlefield heroes, Ghost Recon Future Soldier). Just put pbsetup for all windows games in the desktop, delete pb folder, then add games by browsing the folder of mw3, and check updates, it run finally. I play DOM with the two dlc, and cheaters aren't so numbrous and are banned/kicked after one party with it. I don't say there is no cheaters but it's reasonable and in way of elimination.

I've finally find how to run md5tool. So you put md5tool.exe in the folder of mw3, then you open in the start menu accesories the run program, and you type cmd, push enter or click ok. Then in the cmd dos command you type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 3 and push enter then you are in the folder of mw3 in cmd, then you type md5tool.exe iw5mp.exe 0 2048 and push enter. So a pbsvuser.cfg is autocreate with the signature of the iw5mp.exe. Each time you do this it add the file description to ban cheaters to pbsvuser.cfg, Do it for the dll files also. Then you copy in the pb folder this cfg.

Another recommandation to ban cheaters is to download and put manualy all htm files that aren't in the pb folder and pb/htm folder like pbsecsv.htm of the download update file of bad company 2 or redorchestra 2. another one is to open steam tcp udp ports indicate here (there is a RCON port): https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

In fact, there is only three nat ports to open, for mw2, mw3 and punkbuster, in TCP and UDP both 28960, 27666 and 24300-24399.

Actually no, it can not be done that way by any game. Modern games use files and libarries especially on pc that are not part of the game and may be part of the OS. Game developers do not get to control some of those files. So it can not be lumped together in one giant .exe file that has to be validated each time it is started or it exits out.

You can not stop hacking, even with a md5 check, there is always going to be a way to hack or crack something. With every new way that developers find to combat it the hackers and crackers find ways to get around it. There will never be a 100% hack/crack proof game or application ever.
