Good luck doing anything in BO with a sidearm. Lag compensation + Semi auto + multiple enemies (possibly) = death and frustration.

The sidearms in BO are a joke, i always run with a frickin strela because thats probably the most useful.

On a 4 bar connection they aren't bad. They can't compete with SMGs and Assault Rifles but they aren't supposed to be as good.

How often do you get a 4 bar, for starters, and If they cant compete with SMGs and ARs, why use them? Hm? Flaw in your logic. Id rather take my chances and take a sniper shot rather than take my pistol out and die because all they have to do is hold down the trigger and look at me.

If a side-arm were as good as a SMG or Assault Rifle what would be the point in using either of them as your primary? Why not pick a Sniper Rifle or Shotgun and just run around with your side-arm out when you aren't in your weapon's specialized distance? I can use your logic too you see.

Edit: Plus you are supposed to swap out your secondary for a SMG/AR/Shotgun the first chance you get. That's what Scout Pro is for.

lol how many people actually USE scout? ive seen like 5 total. I got it pro once and i didnt need it cause i can do the fast weapon Y Y switch pickup thingamajig.

But then again, you forget the one variable. Even if you use the sidearm when mobile, and in its best range, you still have little to no chance of survival against a mac11(first that came to head). If you only use the sniper in its best range, and scoped in constantly (which is how everyone says its supposed to be used) someone will come up from behind you within 10 seconds and knife you.

The maps arent made for snipers (with the exception of some of the new ones), so you have to be moving constantly if you want to live, therefore you will be having your sidearm out more than your primary, which then makes your sidearm THE primary. Besides, ive heard that snipers are easier to use close quarters than long range now, because of that incessant initial sway. mightve mentioned that in this thread, ive shut down so many lately that i lose track on which ones ive said particular things in.

Maybe I should get a notepad or something, to keep track of all of em.
