i agree the only reason mine is v iMUSE is because it wouldnt let me have just MUSE  ( its a band ) because i think copy right or something.

Its because someone likes a particular tag and with literally millions of XBOX Live users most gamertags have been used. The ones who use the xXx insertname xXx are ones who tried a gamertag and it was rejected due to already being in use. The easiest thing for these people to do is add something in front or behind.

pfft tell me about it. you can't go into a game without seeing at least 2.
I've noticed they always seem to contain the words: scope, magic, rapid or fusion

Because other letters would look stupid duhhhhhh but realli I don't know.

Hey! I have those! But they're not entirely useless. My first number is my lucky number and the second is my birth year.

My thoughts on it is cause most people have no mind of their own they copy everyone. So it started to put a space in your GT the old once you could not put a space so an X was the space. Then everyone started it on 360 cause once again people just copy cant make up a creative GT on their own so they take someones GT and put X's in it.

I have never seen anyone with even remotely the same as mine. So when I did a change and wanted Sylar1990 and I found it was taken, I was kinda upset.

Reason I chose mine was because I like the name Sylar, and 1990 is my birth year. So I added the Xx and it worked and I was happy.

Wait..assuming your GT is also Freebird314 then your lucky number is either 3 or 31..which means you were born in 2004 (likely if you play S&D lol), 1914  :o  or you were born in 2014 and have been sent from the future..are you looking for John Conner..??  :P

this is correct. i had to add an x to the begining and end of my GT because it the handle I've been using for years.
