Your post would be assuming everyone who reads these forums would be getting a WiiU, but that may not be the case. Still, this game would not be getting the map packs because it would be too late, and the game isn't optimized for the WiiU anyway.
Edit: You still wouldn't know exactly when it would come out because no official release date has been confirmed for the WiiU.
You made a reply to the original post, regarding map packs. The OP was talking about map packs for the game MW3. If you were not talking about MW3, then your post would be off topic, and it shouldn't have been posted.
I read that all disks from this Wii will be playable on the Wii u. Nintendo announced it has backward capability. If you want proof, google it your self because I can't be bothered. And I don't care if i'm wrong too.
I never said that it wouldn't be playable on the WiiU. When the wiiU comes out, you be able to play the game on it, but it wouldn't be optimized for it.
Ok, don't get me wrong, but define optimised, and why would that stop map pax from being released. I'm interested because i'm no expert on these matters..
Optimised - make the best or most effective use of. It means that although the WiiU is an HD system, when you play MW3 on it, it will be in either 480i or 480p (I don't remember which). I would think that it would stop map packs from being released because it would take too much time and resources to port over to a game that was meant to be played on an older system. It would be a much better buisness decision to just wait for the next Call of Duty to be on the WiiU for map packs.
i hope we do in the past we dont hve any use to the wii shop channel why dont they just make map packs for wii and you had to use the wii shop channel to get them the only reason we never get map packs is because of TREYARCH
