just a quick question ??

I play as a squad normally have done since cod 4 all the way through and normally do pretty good but one off my squad members recently moved house, And is currently using a 3g mifi dongle to play, Now i have always pulled host 99% of the time, Would (could) his connection cause me as the host to struggle getting kills, The reason I ask is when he is in the team and i get host i may aswell stand at spawn when he is not in I finish top 3 at least any help appriecated

    People are going to tell you all kinds of different answers. But from what everyone has said host on mw3 is a disadvantage so im not sure why youd play better. Just out of curiosity how many bars does your friend have when you guys are playing on a 3g connection?

    Search the forum for Lag Compensation.  You will find that the majority of people, myself included, who end up as host get screwed by lag.  If you have the best connection in the lobby you will get host, so your friend having less bandwidth probably contributes to the situation.  In an effort to level the playing field and eliminate host advantage, something went wrong  and instead puts an extreme disadvantage to the host. 

     

    The game is nearly unplayable for me as host.  Forget run and gun.. even camping dosent help.  Its like bringing a pillow to a gun fight.  Absolutely hopeless at times, especially against spawn trapping DB clans.  I have quite more games in MW3 than all the past COD titles combined.

     

    I am hoping that hotfixes and tweaks will one day solve the problem.  It would be nice to have a full night of evenly matched games without the outcome influenced by lag.  One can dream right?

      thanks for the reply mate I have read as much as possible to try and understand whats happenning, but i too am hoping the devs will sort it, the way I see it if you wanna play online games as big as Cod you should need a decent connection to be honest it should just not let you connect to mp if your connection is not strong enough not screw ppl that have good internet, i have 30mbps d/l and 3.75 mbps u/l my ping averages at around 24ms
