Throwing Knives are NOT the answer. I agree there should be some kind of anti-camping measure but Throwing Knives are not it. They make Infected OP

haha I'm sorry that you and your friends cannot get 8 moabs per game by sitting in one place and not moving an inch. You need to be more aware of your surroundings rather than just staring at one spot the entire time.

    no kidding...

but lets break it down.... its perfectly ok to start with 17 people with automatic weapons... against one person with a throwing knife.... but that throwing knife is OP? lol... get real

you act like infected winning somehow means you lose.... infected arent bots, they are people that deserve some enjoyment... being fodder for people isnt fun...

they worked it perfectly in the new Tknife modes..... gave survivors the specialist KS to help them, but gave infected back the ranged weapon to prevent camping high spots..

too bad the kids all avoid those modes at any cost... or quit when they get infected..

quick tip... its very hard to hit someone with a throwing knife if they are actually moving..

remove throwing knife, add scavenging. Gives infected a shot at killing campers, promoted collected all the ammo bags from bodies and running around. and a single usp vs your shotty/smg/sniper isn't that big of a deal.

this might require a HP bonus on survivors incase multiple infected load thier guns, but it should be more "killing the camping in an unreachable spot" than "killing anything that moves by lobbing a throwing knife at it"

What if they give the Infected a higher Jump. Not a super jump, but add like an extra foot to their jump height. So people on the helicopter blades can be jump knifed. People on hard to get to "boxes" can be jump knifed. People on the bridge archway on Seatown(It might be harder for them to kill/aim at the infected coming over the railing if they jump higher)

The only real spot that it would still be hard to get them is on the catwalks.

Same. I played last night in a game with EVERYONE except from the first infected and me (second infected) camping together. They had PP90M01 (?) and we had.... Tac Knives... With TKs, it might have been a whole different game. A game where I'd actually have fun....

Agree with point no.1.I did try 5kill 2x death because non-infected was camping at the end of ladder.

I think the problem actually lies with the map design. The maps were not designed to accomidate infected (well most of them anyway).

For example, lets say the infected don't have throwing knives. Some maps have very hard to reach places (not always high places but just difficult to reach places in general), or even worse, glitch spots. A great example here is the catwalk on Dome. Only 2 ways for the infected to get at you, via the ladders. The problem is infected are defenceless whilst going up them that it is very easy to shoot, or even knife infected before they reach the top. It only takes 1 or 2 people to camp these spots before it gets rather silly. Without throwing knives the infected have to rely either on the survivor making a very stupid mistake or on having bad lag. Of course if people are glitching on maps thats usually even worse as you  need to usually jump from certain places where you are more then likely vulnerable ( I am aware they suicide the glitchers on some well known glitch spots but not all).

Due to this the infected need some kind of ranged mechanic for these type of maps. In my opinion the throwing knife is very well suited as opposed to having a gun. Unfortunatly this is what happens when you have one team of ranged and another team of pure melee.

So in my opinion they either need to rid certain maps from the playlists entirely or keep it the way it is now. Since you can still choose if you want a TKnife game or not, I don't see what all the complaints are about.

Well since TKnifes been put back in 80% of my games as soon as someone gets infected they leave. Soon as i get infected now i leave, no point in staying just to ruin my Stats + get faster points by leaving soon as infected.
