nobody forged that picture. I took a look at the beacheads twitter account yesterday and saw the same exact post from that picture with that date/timestamp. Its 100% FACT that beachhead stated ps3 premium elite subscribers would indeed recieve their content before non premium elite xbox.
Whatever it says on the twitter page now has been changed on their end.

It's worth looking at the DLC release schedule in the light of Elite like this.
Because Elite separates consumers into premium and non (let''s just use X-Box first), then there is a period of time from the DLC release (for prems) to the DLC release (for non-prems). Taking the month exclusivity deal for all X-Box users over PS3, and then applying the same period of time between PS3 prems and non-prems means, basically that there is an even bigger delay between first DLC availability (X-Box prem) and last (PS3 non-prem).
Essentially, on PS3 you're paying to reduce your delay. Before prem and non, PS3 would wait a month. Now it's spread further, even with the prem payment. If there were 3 levels of payment, eg. Prem, Semi-prem and non, the last lot would get bumped further, and all of PS3 would be bumped longer than a month after X-Box prem to allow the staggering.
Some may see this as bad business, some may see it as smart enterprise.
It stinks of money-making at the expense of image and consumer satisfaction.
The worst thing is that the "early" use of the maps on PS3 is limited to odd gametypes mixed together (hardly playing the game the way you want), without the regular maps in the rotation and with less users online and no "local only" search option, awful 2-bar connections. PS3 Elite Premium, like Elite itself is a joke.

you are absolutely not the only one who is mad about this situation. It is terrible business on Activision and IW part to promise early DLC from paid premium members and not deliver that to the PS3 console. I love my PS3 console and would not change to Xbox for any reason but this is just bull ****.
For people who say that because the Sony Entertainment Network is a free service and that is why we don't get the DLC early, well that is BS as well because SEN members get all the DLC for Battlefield 3 earlier that xbox members. However, this does not pertain to me because I do not care for the BF game. I think Activision and IW need to strongly reconsider their business practices.

Call of Duty would have been better off without this retarded service that is essentially a scam for PS3 users. If I could kill whoever came up with this service, I would.

its a contract with microsoft to get the DLC earlier, unlike battlefield where it can be gained from having SEN. Elite does get you the DLC earlier than other playstation users doesnt it? just understand, money makes the world go round, so xbox get it sooner. and why does xbox make this deal? cos they get more xbox sales

I love how instead of a 28 day month, we waited a 35 day month for our first two maps. Now we don't even know when we'll get Overwatch, and if we get it on the 29th it makes me wonder why it came out on a Thursday instead of tuesday. And best of all: Xbox gets 2 new maps next month, which means they'll have 6 maps to our 3. If anyone teaches a class on alienating your customers and how to best send your customers to your competitor's product, they need to get some Activision employees to come speak to the class.
The problem is not just having to wait a month...Activision seems like they literally hate the PS3, they even refer to it as "other platforms/consoles" when PC doesn't even have Elite. And it's not a month, Xbox got map 4 on the 13th, while we have to wait 2 weeks to get our 3rd map. Though we got our first maps 1 week after they got map 3, so it's still close to a month for us. But since it was an extra week, and now 2 extra weeks, it makes me wonder if PS3 will even get a map every month or if they'll give us Black Box a week earlier and release the Collection a week after like with 360, as this would fix the problem. But consider Activision is in the business of creating problems and alienting customers for pay, I have no idea what they'll do, they won't even tell us when we get Overwatch.

COD Elite 1yr subscription
starts 8th November 2011
ends 7th November 2012
includes 9 months of content
starts 28th Febuary 2012
ends 28th November 2012
Nice bit of creative accounting on behalf of Activision.

the thing is, the call of duty series only cares about money now. they developers will do whatever they can to get as much money out of us as they can *cough ELITE cough* it's all bullshit. the next call of duty game needs to be based around the players and not money.
