What's the most effective way to play with randoms

You can't talk to them and coach/strategize
Half of them don't play smart
You typically get a split screener
Every now and then one goes AFK
There's always 1-2 that has a God awful K/D
So what do you do to make playing with randoms less stressful
Play in a lobby for a few games. Sometimes you get a few good guys in one mercenary lobby. With the teams changing every game you can get a feel for who's giving you a game and who's not.
After a while you'll end up with a lobby full of 'players' or a lobby full of 'eejits'. If you get the latter it's time to bail!
I'm starting to get a feel for those eejits guys you mentioned. Like in CTF there's a group I'm constantly running into They're clan is P4IN and they always bring with them a seventh player called lag. It can get pretty bad. To top it all off they get their rocks off on spawn trapping the other team. This is where randoms fail the most. They don't care about anything so we can never break a spawn trap
I realize CTF isn't in the Mercenary lists. But the best advice is to stick to these lists if you don't have a squad. I find myself in it most of the time these days as with the absence of Clan Ops have driven most of the people I play with off to other games. (F**king FIFA!)
one word CAMP
Play Mercenary. Everyone there sucks. Gotten so many MOABs on them.
In addition to Mercenary, I typically suggest a few matches of FFA.
If I get online and see there's not many friends available and nobody is running a party, I'll warm up with a few matches of FFA. This puts me in the mindset that there's no one watching my back and everyone is gunning for me. I rarely win, but I can usually work my way up to 3rd or 4th place. Don't worry about win:loss ratio, FFA losses get marked as a draw.
Ever since I started doing this, I've had far more success with random teams in TDM and KC. I don't play many of the objective game modes unless I've got some mates to party with.
i can agree with that I mainly play FFA and every so often I play KC, as soon as I do I do pretty good. I find that most of the times the randoms stick together so I use his oppurtunity to flank the other team to get my kills.
The best way to play with randoms is to fill the hole in their gameplay style if you have rushers then hang back a bit, teamed with campers get out into the open air and so on i've lost count the amount of clans me and my split buddy have managed to beat or they quit out while with randoms.
But then again we only really play kill confirmed
The best way to play with randoms is just play how you play best and ignore your teammates.
In Kill Confirmed, I tend to stay away from teammates. If they're all running straight at the enemy spawn, I flank. If they are all taking a certain route, I take another one. If they All camp, I cut off some choke points leading to where they're camping. Not all randoms suck, and not all of them are clueless, but you have to play as if they are all the worst CoD players on the planet and basically not rely on them for anything. Bascially handle your own business, and pray to god some of the other guys on your team have a clue so you can pull out a win.
Flanking in KC or Team Defender is the most successful tactic I've found. Randoms do a pretty good job at distracting the enemy and causing a ruckous. Then I swoop in with Recon and a few flashbangs to clear out the enemy
Flanking in general, with or without a party is a good strategy. Most people I play don't have the awareness to monitor their weak spots
i have seen alot of rando"s let teammates get killed just to they can kill that dude and get more points since its a buzzkill ..

Pray to which ever god it is you pray to that they at least SOMEWHAT know what they are doing. Lol. Had this very same problem last night (I am a random also) Lost all but two out of the twenty or so games I played. I only won a couple because I had enough and went into the mercenary playlist.
It's both hilarious and sad to have a team of randoms all rush in the same direction at the start of a match, then half of them getting killed by a single Hail Mary'ed grenade, giving the enemy a Triple/Multi-Kill, then 1-2+ of them rage quitting right after...
Yea I tend to stay away from my teamates mainly because I play Solo 24/7 so I run assassin and silencer and if your teamate who doesn't have assassin or a silencer will expose you on the map.
Also W T F I played some Mercenary lately and they camp harder than full party teams!
Play FFA! Thats the best time to play with terrible randoms. Other than that its a terrible experience for all involved.
Ignore them, and just be a one-man army
There's only so much one-man armying you can do with a team full of randoms. After a while there's so much airsupport up that your in too deep to do anything other than rage
And it gets frustrating to keep having to switch classes just to take it down just because those randoms are too stupid to use anything besides guns for everything or at least change classes themselves to help out...
The airsupport thing is annoying especially when you see the ones with a stinger on their back but don't seem to use it.
ThAts why I'm a mObile sam
I dislike how Scavenger doesn't refill your Stinger missiles. It's not not like you can kill people with them. If your taking out airsupport I feel you should be rewarded by gaining extra munitions in your Stinger
Another two thumbs up. If Scavenger refilled Stinger missiles, I would actually use it over Blind Eye. Once I'm out of missiles, I'm not counting on anyone to take out any air support, so I'll run the perk that keeps me hidden from said air support.
Use Assualt, I prefer specialist myself but you're going to need assualt. You need something capable such as air support to keep some of the enemies back even if it isnt very strong. **** the randoms, use them as bait/useless people to alert you if enemies are coming. Also you're going to have to carry to extreme levels.
I do use them as bait lol. I'll sit behind a wall when one's behind me and wait for them to go first. They'll make a move and die, whilst the enemy is reloading I pop out and kill them. If I feel like it I'll throw a flash to help them out and if they're really luck I might even follow behind and to keep them alive
If I'm playing dom with randoms and they aren't capping flags I will tell them " If you pricks don't help me cap a flag I'm leaving and then you're all f*cked", It's best doing this when you have a 10+ kill lead on 2nd place but it's suprising how many times this has made them actually help me.
Or another way is to call in an osprey/escort airdrop on the B flag, If they want the goodies then they have to defend/cap. ![]()
But i keep the same mantra as I had in warcraft 3 which was "Always anticipate your teammates tactics to be noobish in nature".
Those are two brilliant tactics lol
I always treat the enemy like they're beasts at life, and I treat my team like they are garbage. It typically works to my advantage if I think this way
I would say that dlundebjerg28 said it best. Play your best, avoid the crowd and pray the others are doing the same.
last night playing team death match .. and some rando literally spent 1 whole minute shooting the mattress in lockdown that is in that room across from the hall .. and then to top it off he didnt have a silencer so it gave away his postion .. and so some other rando on my team came up to him and was trying to stab him and shoot him .. so i had 2 guys on my team .. one trying to kill a mattress . and the other trying to kill him .... i think they dude who was trying to kill the mattress ended up going 0-18 .. the other went 2 - 15 ... and all i can think is that thery either literally handicapped .. as i have heard people on mics that did sount a little slow .. and or they are kids ..
This aggravates me the most. I thinnk you should be kicked from the lobby after say 100 shots fired and no shots landed. That way you're not dragging the team down. Some of those people I would considered boosters because of how poinltess their contribution to the team is
You pretty much just have to worry about your own game and let them do their thing. Play one game and see how it goes - after the end of the first game see how it reshuffles the teams - if you get put back on the team with all the low scorers jump out and try another lobby. Definitely best to avoid going up against parties (clans) with randoms. See 4 or 5 guys with same clan tag best try another lobby.
