Snipers in MW3

This message was written with the help of online translator!

Hello everyone my name is Nikita and I write from Moscow!

to developers

WHAT DID YOU DO WITH SNIPER??

There are no places for a sniper, everyone who takes a sniper rifle makes killing by QS

But this is nonsense!! Sniper is waiting target - shot - a change of position - againwaiting targets

If the developers decided to get rid of this behavior of the snipers, it was then necessary to remove ALL sniper rifle!

What about camping in the games ...

HE WAS

HE IS

and he will always be

and with him has always struggled and did not cry!

so I write in the first place is a message to developers!!

If we do these cards that infringe on the rights Sniper (not QS)

Then remove from the game AT ALL sniper rifles

In another case makes new MAPS for the PC

Larger map

such as "Derail" & "estate" in Modern Warfare2

i hope you understand me correcttly!

I do not camper

i'am sniper

and my tactic is

waiting(possibly long) - SHOT - a change of possition(on the way ecounters are possible) - select possition - waiting - shot....

At least this tactic among Russian Snipers

and now depart from the topic

Look at the RUSSIAN SPETCNAZ

    Re: Snipers in MW3

This game caters to fast-paced, close quarters gameplay (this would reduce the skill factor and make the game more fair, which makes a lot of people, including me, alot more happy).  As such, it makes sense that quickscoping should be balanced.

This game wasn't meant to be realistic.  Do you know how annoying this game would be if snipers were actually long-range exclusive weapons?  There would be complaints about camping and "I used to play MW3 then I took a hardscope to the knee" all around.  Snipers in this game were given a short-range defense precisely to keep the game fast-paced and emphasize close-quarters slugfests (to compensate they require precision and are alot more luck-based compared to the "other long-range class" lightmachineguns).

If you want to hardscope, play Battlefield 3.  Modern Warfare 3 was designed so everyone, not just the people good at hardscoping, can have fun.

By the way, there was no point in pointing out your name and referencing the Spetznaz.

Oh, and how do you paste stuff on a post?  I've got a direct translation via Google Translate but I can't post it onto here :/

QS has NO place in CoD. Period, bottom line. It's for little immature brats who's mothers bought them the game to make them stop crying.

Do us a favor, and stop supporting Mothers for the Abuse of Aim Assist.

        Re: Snipers in MW3

I'll kill someone with my sniper rifle in whatever way I can.  If that means picking someone off from long range, going for a quick drag scope at medium range, or firing off a quickscope when you're right in front of me and trying to switch to my pistols is sure to get me killed, then I'll do whatever I need to do to get the kill.  I use any method the videogame provides.

Saying quickscoping has no place in a CoD game just sounds so arrogant and immature on your part, ironic given your opinion on the nature of those people who quickscope.

I'm pretty sure the people who make the game are the only ones who can decide what has a place in their game and what doesn't.

    Re: Snipers in MW3

If its not based on "realism" then why have they tried so hard to give the guns realistic properties?

Bullet spray, range, fire rates, Range Accuracy?

The only thing they havent done with the guns is produce bullet drop over distance and make sniper rifles realistic.

No one will ever sprint around with a .50 cal in hand throwing it up to their shoulder and firing in a split second, they will land 5 feet behind where they were standing with a few broken bones. Usually this weapon is fired from a prone position or from a mount. It can be shoulder fired from a standing position but not without leaning in and bracing.

I love sniping, but there honestly **NEEDS** to be a way for sniping to make sense. You can't snipe traditionally in this game but people can run around the map slinging a 50 cal around like a BB gun and its ridiculous. If you get on a rooftop to try to be a "real sniper" you get taken out from half way across the map by a Sub Machine Gun. Its pathetic.

    The developers of games like this put in game modes where certain features/perks/accellerators are disabled so that gamers who have a severe distaste for a particular game function can search for games without that feature, (Hardcore modes, Barebones modes);

why not a mode where quick scope/draw is disabled and or base it on the weapon? No reason why they cant add this into the game and for those who want to quick scope and those who dont mind it, go on to regular game mode, but for those who despise it, have a game mode where mr sniper is going down if he runs around going toe to toe with assault rifles and SMGs.

Further, why cant their be maps that actually "FAVOR" traditional sniping? For instance a Tree line that runs the entire north and west perimeters for instance and is (scale) 50 yards deep? Its a slight rise with good sight lines to the battlefield. Camo ACTUALLY WORKS, and someone can actually snipe traditionally. Gamers would know just as they do now where the sniping positions are but with a deep, open treeline, its not just point and shoot. A player will actually run a risk if they go "hunt" for a sniper, but you still know where they are, so you can call in bomb strikes on the tree line and or approach from an angle and wait for the flash, track it down, and kill him.

A Sniper could defend an objective such as a flag in domination or a bomb site and/or other effectively while his teammates secured other positions and the like. Attackers would have to use strategy to take care of the sniper(s) and assault the objective.

And this way, snipers both QS and Traditional could have equal efficiency and enjoyment out of the game all the while and the sniping position doesnt have to be a deathtrap but isnt a full blown campers paradise either.

Also remember.....Thermal scopes, someone can reveal the snipers position while the rest of the map enjoys their fast paced killing action.

    Re: Snipers in MW3

IMO there just shouldn't be Sniper Rifles in the game.

    Reasons:

    1.It is more of a close-Quarters situation.

    2.Few decent sightlines

3.Due to the sightlines there are few spots to shoot from. these become well known very fast.

4.Once you have shot your position is known, if you have a suppressor you're likely to have just wounded the enemy not killed him.(sometimes even if it's a headshot)

5.Once you move a pistol or PDW(sorry machine pistol) isn't going to get you through an enemy armed with Sub-Machine guns or assault rifles.

    6. well not really a point, but I don't take well to being called a hard-scoping noob.

I got called a hardscoping noob and a quickscoping f*g after the same game.  Videogames are not meant to be realistic, they're meant to be escapism.  Play whatever way you want to play and ignore the haters.  Anyone who feels the need to insult a complete stranger for the way they played a game is obviously an ignorant fool and therefore not worth bothering about.
