Pistols and vehicle lock-on only launchers and Special weapons should be should be the ONLY secondaries.

I have talked about this issue before but I have not made a thread dedicated to it.

 

There is NO need to have rocket launchers as secondaries (excluding vehicle lock-on launchers because they can't kill people). I am sick and tired of people just whipping out their LAW or xm25 and spraying every where. LAUNCHERS take absolutly NO SKILL to use! A pistol vs a rocket launcher is in no way fair ( and don't say "well it takes more time to whip out the launcher than a pistol". That is absolute bs. Most people that use launchers already have them equipped)

 

I do not enjoy getting tubed from a person in a random spot from all the way across the map.

 

Also, disable noob tubes in hardcore game modes.

 

Edit: Special Weapons should be a secondary such as a cross bow etc

    i hope the keep launchers like the rpg as scondarys i love a spot of rpg sniping and it does take some skill to use them specially the rpg's since they seem to have a mind of their own

      I respect you opinion, but I don't see how they take skill. Their blast radius is huge espically in hardcore where you have less health. Rpgs: all you have to do is aim at the persons feet and they are dead.

       

      I don't think they should be in hardcore gamemodes. MW3's hardcore was ruined because of the xm25 seimauto launcher. I'm more of a hardcore player

        i play both core and hardcore so i know how bad exposives can be and maybes standing right next to someone and aiming at their feet with a rpg doesnt take any skill but try firing one across the map on mission from the c point on domination to the small building where people snipe from and get a kill

          ^^Yes I paraphrased your quote. This is yet another reason I hate noob tubes. A sniper should not be able to be taken out so easily. I remember back in the WaW days we would have to either be sneaky and flank the enemy sniper or use a sniper ourselves and try to take them out. Now a days, people just noobtube the sniper like he is no big deal.

           

          Edit: I admit I used to get noob tubed whe I sniped in WaW, but hardly ever, not nearly as much as I do now.

            so basically your one of them people who hate any type of explosives and want them all removed well gues what its never going to happen so you will just have to deal with and learn to counter it

              No did I ever say I wanted all explosives removed from the game? No, I said that they should not be secondary weapons and should be removed from hardcore gamemodes.

               

              Claymores and betties have become useless due to the many counters such as stalker, flashbangs, emp grenade, etc. I hoped that any perk that delays betties/claymores is are gone from the game because people run right past them like they don't even matter which is why sit-rep (bomb squad) should be the only perk that counter betties/clamores.

               

              There is no consequence for using noob tubes anymore. At least in cod 4 and 5 (excluding the rpg version of the rocket launcher which was a perk) if you used a noob tube you couldn't use a perk tier slot. So mabye if people use noob tubes, they should not be allowed to use assassian.

            1. I always tubed the snipers in WAW, it was GREAT.

            2. There wasn't a lot of tubes in WAW because the only guns that had them were the Semi Autos and most of the kiddies didn't own Modded controllers back then, so they couldn't earn them (weren't tubes the last thing unlocked on most of the Semis?).

             

            I don't have a big problem with the way BO and MW3 have the rockets set up as of now.

    Launchers still take skill, just require less accuracy than bullets.

     

    Even then, RPGs still aren't a straight shot to the target, unless you do a suicide shot to the ground. XD

      I still disagree. How does spraying an xm25 take skill?

       

      Edit:sorry if it seems like I am bashing everybodys' opinio. I'm not trying to bash peoples' opinion, I am just firmly sticking by mine. You guy/girls are all cool so please don't hate me over some debate we are having.

        Spraying doesn't but making a single shot to get a head glitcher behind a crate which you can't shoot thru is.

    On a post i've read, they are going to be disabling rocket launchers and noobtubes on Hardcore mode for Black Ops 2. So hopefully this makes Hardcore less annoying.

    my advice is stop camping, it is much harder to get a kill across a map with a rpg than it is with your sniper rifle. and the blast radios is not huge.  what your upset at is that they have put things in that make it hard for you to camp. boohoo. kill and move.  the campers have had it way to easy in cod. now if you camp you have to think about the revenge killer going right through your claymore.

      Perhaps you fear that since noobtubes might be taken out of the game, you might actually have to get kills by actually shooting bullets. (That was a fair insult. You made a false acquasation about me without knowing my playstyle)

       

      The # of people that use noobtubes to get rid of campers compared to the # of people that use it to p!$$ people off is minimal

    I hope that all the pistols will be able to fire as fast as you can tap the trigger, also more different handguns would be cool.

     

    As for the launchers, I don't know, I never see them as too big of a problem, in fact, I like them, but it is annoyin if someone constantly uses them. Normal launchers should always require ADS and have rather disturbing sights so they'd be more difficult to use. As for the attachment for ARs, well I've got no idea how to balance them properly.

     

    Still, they sholdn't be completely useless, there will probably be some new version of Flak jacket taking care of them

    The only secondaries should be sidearms [pistols & machine pistols], vehichle lock-on launchers should be included as 'lethal equipment'.

     

    Re noob tubes - so long as they are limited to 2 in your primary weapon AND if you pick a grenade launcher as an attachment you can't put any other attachments on that weapon AND Flak jacket is at the very least as good as it was in Black Ops, then I'll be happy.

      Agree Pistols & if they are toned down a bit machine pistols should be the only secondary weapons. i agree they belong in equipment or like COD 4 in a perk slot

       

      If they only had pistols and launchers then air support would be even more pointless than it is now with MW3, at least in MW3 alot of people like FMG9s so my reapers and pavelows can at least get some kills

      I meant to say "There is NO need to have rocket launchers as seondaries..." I hope people didn't think that I wanted noob tubes as secondaries

    I wouldn't mind seeing non-lock on launchers being taken out as secondaries. However when you say the only secondaries should be pistols and lock on launchers I think you're forgetting about one of the best things in Black Ops. SPECIALS! I really hope the crossbow and ballistic knives make a return. They were in no way overpowered and made for some epic kill cams. I like the idea of having weapons that are essentially there for bragging rights when you get a kill with one.

    They just need to buff Flak Jacket. If they ban tubes and rockets from HC i'm fine with that too. But first and foremost make sure Flak Jacket is worth using again, cuz its crap in HC MW3.

    i dont agree, as long as they only get 2 rockets then i dont see a problem. there is a counter to them shoot and move to anothér spot if you´want to camp. most good snipers do that anyway.

     

    its not often i get killed by a noob or rpg now. sometimes using one is the only way to get some campers.  me i prefer the stinger. but if someone is camping there arse off c4 and rpg lol. keep them or take away the claymore and personal radar.

    or anything else that protects people who want to sit in a room protected from one side and pointing the gun at the other entrance lol.not saying u do that but there is a lot in mw3 who do like to rest there weary bones lol.

    I agree with you Becon, i wish they took out things such as the rpg but i highly doubt it will ever happen although i hope that they nerf explosives for hardcore because even tho i don't play much hardcore, it is really annoying... And about the pistol/launcher only as secondary thats what i want aswell, i liked the black ops system, pistol only

    I hate getting tubed over and over and over again just as much as everyone else but I will say this from experience some of my tube kills in black ops were epic.  Aimed headshot from across the map type kills.  So not everyone that tubes is a spraying noob. 

    As far as the people whining about tubes in HC that is the only game mode that you can use them in and they not be useless on MW3.  On core matches in MW3 you may as well be lobbing cotton balls at your enemies.

    Anyone who camps (not accusing anyone) I hope your controller battery explodes in your hand you suck.
