I've finished reading "All Quiet on The Western Front". It's a fine book, and has a very strong anti-war message. In this day and age, we've made war into a video-game. But if I were alive back in 1914, I highly doubt I'd make it out of WW1 with an ounce of sanity left in me.

Yes, it was an option for me to read as well during high school, though I didn't choose it. I believe the book was even banned by Hitler when he became Chancellor of Germany - which isn't a surprise, I suppose.

Currently reading Jonathan Franzen's new book, Freedom. Started out a bit slow, but I thoroughly enjoy how deep he describes the characters and their view of life.

Just finished Under the Dome by Stephen King. He's a boss. Read it for the third time.

Don't read many novels, but I'm reading Lord of the Flies. Only because I found it in one of my drawers and couldn't recall ever getting it, and I didn't pay much attention to it when I read it in high school.

I've read it; it's a good book. It makes me think of the struggles for power we've had in OT long ago. Remember the days when we'd have Major Rod, IVIRTran, Bomb, DarkShadow, and others all running for President of OT? That was back when the forums were a lot more interesting.
