I don't rely on lunging and I keep it on the enemy. They just seem to run right through it. Lag comp obviously, but man it's a pain sometimes. If they are running at me, there's almost no point in trying to knife. Just like there is no point in running for cover. You hardly ever make it around that corner without dying. I always run right at people now if I run out of ammo. Better to die trying to kill them then trying to run, making it to safety, and then dying anyway. I keep akimbo as a secondary on some of my classes (depends on the map) in case some noob wants to run around using it, so to be fair, if I run out of ammo, I don't switch to my secondary. It's just wrong. So I try to knife, succeed, and die anyway. Most of the time at least. I mean I could be a douche and switch to akimbo, but that's not how I roll.
