I had a few games last night and was doing ok but in one game I couldn't hit a thing, Maybe I was host, maybe it was lag comp but everytime I saw someone I was dead.  I ended up 2-14 but not once was a tempted to jump ship, I wonder how many people would have stuck with it and took the hit.

I flatly refuse to have my game disrupted because I have the best connection in the lobby. People whining about "wah stop using the lag excuse" are just retards. If you knew how badly a hosts gameplay is affected then you'd be doing exactly the same thing. Think about it for a second - my modem is now carrying 12 players rather than just my player, and all that information about where you're running to, bullets firing, reloads etc... is being processed, so yeah it will inevitably mean the host gets screwed the way the idiots code in lag compensation.

And no - I don't dashboard all games i'm hosting when I do bad, I will dashboard games when i'm hosting and I say die 4 times in a row where the killcams have been absolutely nothing like what was on my screen. If I know i'm not the host and I do bad, then it's obviously me against better players and I take whatever comes my way - hence my KDR is as accurate is it will be.

I look at it like, well if i'm penalised - so should everyone else in the lobby. Particularly if there's a guy on a large killstreak, taking full advantage of the fact he's having a good game. with no blips or lag issues. Tough titties i'm afraid, I will not change my ways.

In a word... Selfish... lol

J, someone has to host & why would people downgrade their settings / net for one game, shouldn't that game fix its problems instead? Why don't they just fix the issues the host gets, maybe that would see less dashing. I would have never thought of dashing in the past, It's IWs & their fail of a systems fault. Of course there are always stats whores. I say derank people who quit games constantly, but first they need to give the option to people to join games late or not and fix the lag / hosting / matchmaking issues.
