Petition to directly ban all offenders permanantly

Hello all, there is a big problem with the steps to ban offenders hacking and making the game unplayable. Because the steps isn't rational, it let kids try to cheat, and being ban only two days and after seven days before permanant ban. So they have three chances to try cheating, before the two days ban, before the seven days ban, and before the permanant ban. So there will be always hackers in MW3. Isn't it in contrast with the license customer rights and agreements. Are you don't all agree with me, the gamers? Sign here the petition with me please, for directly ban offenders permanantly.

I see where your going with this and I agree to a point. The steps are to ensure that they do things correctly. They don't need to be banning everyone just because someone reported them. They MAKE SURE they did something against the rules before action is taken. Yes they get three chances, but I am led to believe that once they get banned the first time that they are more than likely to do it again, and be banned even quicker.

Now, with that said, you will never get rid of them even if you perma banned them. Another $60 dollars and a new name is all it takes to get them back online. (Or just another profile if it's PS3)

Unfortunatley pettitions on here go nowhere. If it did, I would be on your side.

I certainly believe there should be a progressive discipline system and more support from the game makers to implement bans. These bans should start at 24 to 28 hours and progess up to console bans depending on severity and frequency of infractions.

I dont think this will happen for a few reasons the first being profits for the game makers. this could impact them in a few areas , lost sales on future titles, lost sales of dlc, and increased manpower costs of having a well staffed security team actively hunting down cheaters and responding to user filed complaints. Also part of this could be increased dev costs to implement it solutions to easily flag gamers with unusual kill records headshots etc.

There may also be some legal issues and/or costs if banned users try to band together and fight back via legal means

Look i am far from supporting booster cheats and hackers, i hate them and spends tons of time making vids reporting them and following up to make sure they get reset. I was pointing out business decisions as to why we may never see something like this happen. After all Activision is a business first and foremost so it is up to them how much of thier budget they want to devote to security and take away from profits. Based on past actions that is not a very large percentage. I certainly hope they prove me wrong here but again based on past actions dont hold your breath. If all this still does not make it clear i support your idea, but chances are it sadly falls on deaf ears.

They should really do something to stop the hacking and modding.  Boosting bothers me but I get over it as the affect towards me is less than miniscule.  However fully automatic MK14s and the modded leaderboard drives me insane.  How hard is it to cap the fire rate on semi auto guns and for christs sake, find a way to stop the modding, I've played other shooters like BF, resistance, killzone, gears of war and many others across PS3, PC, and XBOX yet Call Of Duty is the only one I ever see hackers in.  It's time they make the game code more secure to prevent hacking so it doesn't get to the point where they need to step in.

Not ever going to happen, no company will ever take the stance of one chance and then perma banned from the game forever. They do not want to risk the loss of sales by doing this.

You can not ever perma stop hacking in games, developers have tried and continue to try but they can not ever win that war ever.

Hackers will hack and cheaters will cheat regardless of what any company tries to do to stop it.

What I said is not false, you just do not want to accpet the fact that no company can ever stop hacking/cheating 100% for 100% of the time ever. Hackers/Cheaters will always find a way to do it regardless of what the company tries.

And only console bans are semi perm. Not even CD bans are perm since you can just buy a new game and hackers/cheaters would do so.

IP ban are never perm, you can if you know how make you ip change.

GT bans can be got around by creating a new gt and letting the other one go unused.

Punk Buster is not perfect it can be gotten around by those that are more advanced at hacking/cheating.

No anti-hack anit-cheat system will ever be perfect and work 100% of the time. For every new anti hack/cheat fix hackers are lookng for new hacks or cheats or ways to get around those.

Just beacuse you think that PB is so great and that some pc game companies may do a so called perma ban which is really not even perm then to those that know how, consoles will not because of the loss of sales.

Re: Petition to directly ban all offenders permanantly

I wish they would simply do a CD ban.

Sure this will never stop hacking or modding but it will help.  Even hackers have a spending limit.  Do you really think they are going to keep hacking/modding knowing that they will have to spend 40 bucks to get a new game?  Then lets say they do keep hacking and have to keep buying the same game over and over again.  It will  increase sales, while at the same time, increase the loyalty of legit gamers.

However, they are soo busy trying to create the next COD that they could care less how the previous ones play
