BOTS

Make an anti bot program simple fix to the bots. Or you can make a vote to kick so players can kick bots or let us have our own servers so we can ban the botters since you guys cant make a game that isnt hacked in 2 days of release. I really dont know who is worse with dealing with botters you guys or TQ oh wait TQ is trying you guys want us to do the work of sending in videos of botters and then you will hmm and haaa before you might do something.

 

Post if your tired of bots and want this company to get off there butts and do something about the hacks in the PC version!

 

I'm not buying any more of your games since all you do is copy and paste and do jack all against bots. There are bots ready for Call Of Duty Black ops 2 ready for when it releases... How sad.

    All you can do is uninstall MW3.. There is nothing that will ever be done to fix the hacker problem. (and in fact there is nothing that could be done to fix it on IWNet)

     

     

    There will always be hackers, our only hope of being able to enjoy a game without them infesting it like a plague of locusts is a fully functional ranked dedicated server system.

     

    Unfortunately since the devs behind MW3 (IW/SH) Intentionally went out of their way to make MW3 an extremely hacker friendly title, there is little that can be done.

     

    They want MW3 to be played by hackers and cheaters. The bottom line is they make more money off of it that way.

     

    They undoubtedly make money off of the sale of hacks, either by deals with hack providers, or they provide the hacks themselves (which is the ONLY explanation why they would intentionally make MW3 so hacker friendly with IWNet and VAC)  - Profit

     

    They can put minimal effort towards a banning team and ban a few players, making alot of foolish people think they care and rush out to buy DLC - More profit.

     

    Most of the small group of people who get banned will end up buying the game again - More profit.

     

    It's win win win, profit profit profit... That's all they care about....

     

    They could fix MW3 with a patch to include fully functional ranked dedicated servers with less than 2-3 days of work (if that)  Which would remove 3/4ths of the hacker population overnight, and greatly increase the appeal of MW3, bringing in more players and expanding it's life....

     

    But that means less profit from hacks and bans....

    We do not want the Vote Kick option or I don't simply because it will make it impossible for me to play the game.

     

    I played on a Dedicated Server yesterday and within 1 minute there was a vote up for me to be kicked because I killed someone, that vote failed and then within 3 minutes I was kicked by the vote system because the noobs on the server, could not handle being killed by a better player than them.

     

    Within 3 minutes I was 8-0 and apparently that makes me a cheater.

     

    I will be uploading the video later today, and I just wish I could find out who the server is rented off so I can have it shut down like I did with a few on Black Op's.

      Here we go here is the video of me being kicked just after being in the server for 3 minutes because the noobs couldn't accept being killed.

      They even tried to vote kick me after 1 minute of being on the server.

       

      Vote Kick is the wrong thing to have in a game as it means people like me would never be able to play the game, because there are people out there who think they are a god.

       

      And in this one I was being called a cheater because I was able to kill someone and didn't just spend the whole game dieing.

        Hehehehe, I see you were using the 'spot the enemy using your eyes and aim down the sights skill' hack - lol

          Voting can work: If only clam members can vote; and even then it can still be abused.

          but the abuses are more likely to be reprimanded; and possibly even loose that privilege

          what was I thinking? (I was going to carry on, as if there where a PC community in this game)

           

          There is nothing that can be done, with this game in it present state.

           

          The servers we have are useless, waste of money; and P2P on the Internet doesn't work.

           

          Best you can do is uninstall; and count it as a loss.

            Yes, it is still impossible to find ANY decent servers, P2P is an awful excuse for online play on PC. Looks forward to BO2, not sure about this futuristic thing they are plumping for, time will tell. Ain't buying it till I see some evidence.

        Funny. I too have been up for vote, and once my friends joined in on the vote to kick me ...as a joke of course, but one of them was admin LMAO!

        But I must say, ranked dedi servers are not the total answer. I mean you can have a whole clan of cheaters running their own server too. Until they figure out how to stop cheaters more effectively, P2P and servers, nothing is going to be perfect... of course.

      Lol Storm, I agree vote kick is not a great idea.

        well... vote kick is what you have on dedi servers in essence. Someone is voting to kick, whether it's the admin or the players.

          I have been vote kicked and banned a few times, it is best disabled and left to the "responsible" admins to kick/ban players but as has already been said, it can also be abused. Sooo no vote/kick/ban for me.

      Do you remember the IP Address?

       

      If so, it can be traced with a bit of reverse DNS hocus pocus and a little googling - let me know the IP if possible and I'll get back to you.

        I will see what I can do.

         

        I am contemplating getting a server for 3 months as it's only around £30 but not sure to be honest but if, I do the 1st thing I will do is disable the vote kick option.

          I wouldn't waste my money if i where you:

           

          I'm letting mine go at the end of Aug.  they are very restrictive (not much better then P2P in that respect) and the rcon is broken 50% of the time (usually take a restart to get it working again)

           

          Hard to fill: because most of the masses don't know the difference between P2P and dedicated; or even how to find dedicated server. (let alone how to create kits for them)

           

          What very little advantage there is; doesn't out weigh the cost, or effort.

           

          If I where in your position, I would keep things just the way they are; and hope BO ll is better the BO.

           

          That's what we've been playing lately (BO) and it's still going strong; even with the 4 player minimum it fill up in a heart beat. (it's a lot easier to get rolling the MW3)
