Really Guy? Random Teammates

Why I hate playing solo: Domination 195-193 leading but other team holds 2 flags, I go for the cap of C (and likely the win) and am delighted as I come into the flag area and see my teammate just getting into the general area of the flag
That about sums up my experience playing domination with random players.
I feel your pain man.
Dunno why they think they're going to make a difference by not capping flags.
I think my biggest problem is that it was 195-192 and he was right next to the flag. I wouldn't be as mad if we held 2 flags and had a big lead, and maybe the guy is close to a MOAB or something, I might do the same thing. But in crunch time, to run right by it, pissed me off.
Its the curse of the selfish nature of this game these days. You introduce things like MOABs, etc... team play goes out the window. My question to you is, did you communicate your intent? I know it should seem obvious, the point of the game is to cap flags, but his thinking could have been to clear out that flank (I doubt it, just saying). I think its tough to single out that one guy, looking at the overhead you had several teammates in that area, and you were the only one on that flag. If you were communicating to your team what you were doing, then I feel your pain. I don't play a lot of dom, but when I have, I notice that, especially on random teams, people tend to assume whats happening, rather than communicate what they want to happen. Each player is then doing what they think should be done, rather than what the team's strategy is. When you play games with a whole team, everyone knows their assignment and communicates clearly.. in matches with Randoms it seems more like every man for himself.
When I first saw him, I didn't say anything because I assumed you're jumping on a flag up 195-192 down 2 caps to 1 and you're right next to the flag, he started running away and I said "dude where are you going?!! come back to C, we need this flag!" Noone came and I died.
I agree on the communication thing, but in this case, NOTHING should need to be said, the situation speaks for itself. If he jumps on that flag with me, we would have capped it and probably won that game.
I was very vocal in the lobby afterwards..
Yeah thats pretty crappy then. Its just proof that this game has degraded to an "All About Me" level. Winning, fair play, and teamwork is secondary to high K/Ds and personal achievements. Its bad enough playing TDM with randoms, I wouldn't even try objectives without a full team.
Most randoms don't have mics so even with him saying something, I doubt the random heard him/gave a crud for the win.
This is reason number 2 of 45 as to why I dont play domination.
You only have 45 reasons? Come on dude, there are more reasons than that not to play DOM.
Wow, If that was me and I just spawned I would have looked at that cap like a free easy point to start my next point streak chain. Unreal how clueless some people play sometimes.
Man if I had a nickle...
Doesnt make sense does it, especially in that situation.
