Elite really is pretty worthless. Other than it saves you 5-10 bucks on map packs, it practically does nothing. It provides me with basic information that I already know. I'm not going to buy it for Black Ops 2. Something that would make it worth the money would be to put double xp on nonstop for the elite playlist.

I'm going to buy all the DLC anyway and with Elite I get new maps each month - maybe for some 50 bucks is a big deal but since this is the only game I play I don't mind the extra investment. 

I think they should just make the game $99.99 and have Elite and all the DLC be free throughout the year - thus no splitting of the player base.

I foolishly bought Elite because I wanted to save myself some money on the map packs. The problems with Elite are still here 8 months later.

The maps are a waste of time because hardly anybody bought Elite so when trying to play the maps you ended up in games with people who lived miles away. I was struggling to get into -100ms lobbies and 150ms was frequent, this forced me to diasble the DLC so I have hardly played them, nowhere near as much as in BO or MW1/2.

Clan ops were getting cancelled in the beginning but I've only just started playing them.

To make matters worse they are now offering the DLC with 50% off! So thanks to the greed of Moneyvision Activision I have actually lost out. I cancelled my Elite subscription this evening and was going to pre-order BO2 but not bothering now. I'm done with this franchise and the greed of the publisher and developer.

It does show though the DLC hasn't sold nowhere near as much as they expected otherwise they would not discount it so much.
