Why the second perk slot will make or break MW3.

So for the first time i feel since CoD4 the perks are evenly matched.. The perfect system had Stopping Power (SP), Juggarnaught (JN) and Counter UAV (CUAV) but when MW2 came out and they dropped JN, this was a terrible call as nothing then countered SP or Danger Close which in turn broke MW2.. So Treyarch then decide to drop SP which leaves one overpowered perk with no counter.. GHOST.

Now with this game a little over a month away i feel its now perfect again, at first your going to get Assassin ALOT.. but lets look at the other perks..

Quick Draw - Bringing your gun up quick was a big part of myself using Sleight Of Hand, the Re-Loading wasnt a big pull factor personally. Id rather bring my gun up quicker to get the Assassin who has surprised me than have a 50/50 with another Assassin user.

Blast Shield - If it is as effective as Flak Jacket was then this is a must have for objective players, but then again, kids nowadays dont know what objective means. I love to be our teams flag capper/bomb defuser.. its much more exciting, what use will Assassin be if they have eyes on the bomb? None.

Hardline - I use this alot in Black Ops but with the support killstreaks i cant see myself using it as much, why waste a perk when i could get my killstreak  after a death.. But the PRO version, thats really caught my eye.. 2 assists = 1 pointstreak. on Black Ops my record for most assists in 1 game is 22.. thats 11 towards my pointstreak.. 7 more kills its a Jugga suit.. Also throwing Flashbands and Stuns will be even more worth it if your beaten to the kill.

Overkill - Now IW/SH have said they are not having Stopping Power in this game but increasing it as if everyone has it anyway! Treyarch said this but IW will do it properly.. this was the main reason this perk was not used in CoD4.. you had to sacrifice SP, JN or CUAV... but now.. Now its well worth it.. If im a Sniper, i can put this in and have an MP5 with my sniper with no power disadvantage at all, its more common to put Assassin on a sniper class but what good  is that with a 50.cal BOOM?? Just switch to your MP5 and **** the red hunters!

Personally in this game i would much rather use the last 4 perks than Assassin, Assassin just doesnt offer enough, im a rusher, i want the enemy to see my bullets, i want them to know where i am, it makes my job sooo much easier!

BUT

It could just be Black Ops all over again.. 10 out of 12 people running Assassin, hiding in corners, camping, again.

Or....... the fact that you have to give up all the perks in slots 1+2 to get the same affects as Ghost. Blind Eye+ Assassin are what Ghost was, so you are actually giving up Sleight of Hand, Recon, Extreme Conditioning, Scavenger, Quick Draw, Blastshield, Hardline and Overkill. If all the kids that demand EASY MODE aka follow the red dots, are not happy with that list....... go back to Halo.

No matter what perks the game brings, you will ALWAYS get those campers in corners. I'm normally oblivious to it now just because it's in every game. No matter what there will be cookie cutter builds for your perks, and I myself intend to use them too. No matter how you look at any build though I'm quite sure that people will use different builds based on their needs. MW3 looks to be the best all round balanced CoD to date and I'm stoked to play it.

I never played black ops so i know vary little about these perks people keep talking about but it sounds like people think that people are going to camp.. and all i can say is DUHHHH people camp every game any game it doesnt matter if they have a perk or not people camp you can say the game is inbalanced becuse of these perks but the games not out yet and none of us can make that judgement.

I wonder if you know the difference between "camping" and "tactical positioning". I'm a sniper in every Call of duty i play. It's easily the most effective and efficient play style that helps out my team first, and my stats second. I only get kills when retards are running directly into my line of sight over and over. My purpose is to cut off enemy routes and take them out at long range. That's the sniper's purpose. You call it camping. I say keep crying and keep feeding my .50 cal by running down the middle of an open field expecting kills to be handed to you with your smg

Snipers aren't meant to run around. Simple as that. F**king children; always getting pissed at a gun design and play style that they just disagree with. Sorry, i play like i do in real life...i wouldn't be running out into the middle of an open field not expect to get my life ended.

That right there. It's in almost every game. If people want to camp- they will camp. You can't stop them. Take out all the perks, killstreaks, whatever; if they want to camp then they will.

As for Assassin goes, I think it's more than fair as to get the effect of Ghost from Black Ops, you have to sacrifice two perk slots.

If Blast Shield does what it should as it could in BO, and actually let me survive a Predator Missle at full health, then I'll be running that exclusively. Same with objective players.

And the sniper will always slap on Quickdraw.

I have no worries of the second tier.

Don't worry I get called a camper a lot too just because I hear a guy about to run around the corner and pull back and wait for him instead.

On that note, I prefer stealth in my game, so I'll be giving up all those to run Blind Eye and Assassin at first if they're both unlocked. My go-to strategy is to push hard to the enemy spawn and flank behind them. Puts me right behind enemies lines and is a lot of fun. There are situations where that gives me an advantage and a disadvantage.

For instance, TC mentioned getting his gun up quicker with Quickdraw. Well if I truly surprised you, then you're dead before you have a clue where I am. Of course it works the other way too. If I don't flank you properly, I now have to win a gunfight at a disadvantage to you.

    Sorry I rambled.
