CoD: Elite required to be over 18?

I preordered Elite and the game itself at the time it was announced, and now IW's telling me I have to be over 18 to register? WTF? I'm pretty freaking sure it didn't say this before... what the hell am I going to do with a $50 dollar subscription that I can't use? GameStop won't take it back for a full refund, of course... none of my friends want to buy it... what the bloody hell, IW? Way to completely restrict half of MW3 for about 3/4 of your fanbase...
I set up my account at age 12, and I am currently 15 and have been rocking Call of Duty since CoD4, and now they smack me in the face with an age description? Appreciate the love, ********...
No, I am not and never was a squeaky little whiner because I don't play with my mic on.
-pats you on the back- I hope that doesn't happen to me bro! :| I'm also 15 T.T' except I don't have ELITE (the membership, that is). wihs I could get it lol But I will later in the year OR maybe for X-mas/my birthday :3
Nope can not be since the rating itself is 17+. Would not make any sense to require to be 18 then.
When do you get notified with the error message?
The same thing just happened with me today... I bought the subscription on Xbox marketplace... and now I find out about this age limit... So annoying :/
Please tell me when you received the message.
When you downloaded it?
Yeah, I bought the subscription, downloaded the app on console.. but when I press start, it gave me the error message.
When I try to link my account... I don't actually have the subscription yet.
No reason to complain about it. It's their game and their rules. Maybe you should read the terms before agreeing to it.
Fact is, I did... and it said nothing about an age restriction until very recently. So how do you explain that?
