Maybe you could increase the height(NOT radius) of it's detection zone to make it lag-proof?

Currently Being ModeratedRe: Modern Warfare 3 Title Update and Hot Fix Notes
I don't know about all of you, but when you look at the poorly balanced stats of this game, the ACR needs SOME sort of nerf, even if just a small one. Honestly I believe it's just as OP as the Type 95, if not more. Why? Well...
The M4 and SCAR-L are very accurate but balanced in that they are 5 shot kills at long range. The "power weapons" - the AK-47 and CM901 - only need 4 shots at long range but shoot slow and have high amounts of recoil. Also balanced. Now we get the ACR 6.8. The ACR 6.8 takes the same number of bullets to kill (3-4) as the AK-47 and CM901 while also shooting FASTER than both, having FAR less recoil (even less recoil than the M4 and SCAR-L despite having far greater damage), the fastest reload of all primaries, and nearly the same effective range as the AK-47 and CM901. That is NOT at all balanced in any sense of the word, and it's no surprise that you almost never see anybody using the CM901, AK-47, M4, or FAD.
I'll delve into stats if you can't see the problem yet:
CM901 ACR 6.8 Damage: 49-25 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 666 RPM
Recoil: Very high
3-Hit Kill range: 1,518
Reload: 2.33s
Hardcore: 1-2 shot kill
Damage: 45-30 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 706 RPM
Recoil: Non-existent
3-Hit Kill range: 1,390
Reload: 1.9s
Hardcore: 1 shot kill at ALL ranges
AK-47 ACR 6.8 Damage: 49-25 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 689 RPM
Recoil: Very high
3-Hit Kill range: 1,592
Reload: 2.5s
Hardcore: 1-2 shot kill
Damage: 45-30 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 706 RPM
Recoil: Non-existent
3-Hit Kill range: 1,390
Reload: 1.9s
Hardcore: 1 shot kill at ALL ranges
G36C ACR 6.8 Damage: 40-25 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 769
Recoil: Medium-High
3-Hit Kill range: 1,211
Reload: 2.43s
Hardcore: 1-2 shot kill
Damage: 45-30 (3-4 shot kill)
Rate of Fire: 706 RPM
Recoil: Non-existent
3-Hit Kill range: 1,390
Reload: 1.9s
Hardcore: 1 shot kill at ALL ranges
As you can see, the only advantages the AK and CM901 have over the ACR 6.8 is a slightly longer effective range, which is hardly worth the slower RoF, considerably more recoil, and other disadvanges. The G36C is inferior in every single category for only a slightly higher RoF and faster weapon switch time, which nobody even cares about.
I also don't think I need to explain why it's a problem that the ACR is the ONLY fully-automatic weapon that can kill in 1 bullet at all ranges in hardcore, and also just so happens to have the second lowest recoil in the game (lowest being MP7). At the very least, the damage needs to be changed to 45-29 so it takes 2 shots to kill in hardcore at long range.
And I don't think I need to explain exactly why it's a problem that the ACR has considerably higher long-range damage than the M4 and SCAR-L while also having less recoil.
My solution:
Simply drop the magazine size on the ACR 6.8 from 30 to 20 rounds. Want your 30 rounds back? Get extended mags, problem solved. Everything else can be left untouched. I feel this is the perfect nerf for the ACR 6.8 and actually gives some reason to use the AK-47, CM901, and others. It would basically be brought to the level of the MW2 SCAR-H.

Assault Rifles are hardly where rebalancing needs to be focused, though I do agree with the above post and it's very effective solution (I'd also like to point out that the TYPE-95 is the single biggest threat to assault rifle balance, not the ACR). The biggest most substantial issue is the akimbo attachment, especially because these are SECONDARIES. Secondaries are supposed to be less-effective weapons usable in a pinch. The akimbo attachment makes just about every akimbo machine pistole overpowered.
Ghandi, will the akimbo attachment itself -- not just arbitrary, unseeable nerfs to individual guns like the FMG9 one -- be addressed in a manner that will bring secondaries from being overpowered to where they should be balance-wise? If you recall one of the pervading issues MW2 players wanted fixed was OVERPOWERED SECONDARIES! Unfortunately, the devs only response was to make shotguns (except striker) virtually unusable.
That brings me to the next area where the game requires rebalancing: shotguns. But I wont go on about that.
The biggest balance issue is AKIMBO!!! Let's be real people...How often do we see people running around with FMG9s or Skorpion akimbos as if they're primaries?
Again, Ghandi: When will the real issue be addressed? When will the akimbo attachment be toned down?

GHANDI, I cant still play your game because of lag / lag compensation.
For me every game its like in that video. Even the part with the Striker is not that unusual.

When will this be fixed, (not tweaked etc.) Fixed?
If its not gonna be fixed, can i get a refund? I bought your game simply for MP, and havent been able to play it properly at all.

Same here. If the single player campaign played like the multiplayer in terms of my lag comp, makarov would have destroyed the world easy.

Hello Buff_Hardthrust and iamhollywood5,
As I said when I first started visiting the forums I'm always going to avoid chiming in on balance questions since these topics are so subjective. I'd like you to know, however, that the MP weapon balance team are listening to people's (often conflicting) feedback and analyzing stats from all the matches played in MW3 when they contemplate any changes to weapon stats.
Regarding shotguns and Akimbo secondary weapons news is coming very soon.
Cheers,

We have to be a little careful in this regard since I will need to oversee any details disseminated in the interest of protecting proprietary information. As I suggested previously, however, I'm supportive of the network engineers joining me one evening to discuss issues directly with the community and answering your questions.
I think both sides will benefit greatly from this process. Ultimately, we all want the same thing. I'll set this up and update the forum.

hi long time listener first time caller

You know imo you'd be better off getting a list of questions from the forum and giving them to the ne's to answer and post the results before any meet and greet , that way they know what to expect and would give them a chance to explain stuff without having to give people a peek behind the curtain, and it would educate some of the "lag comp must die fetch me the tar and feathers brigade! " demographic... as lets be honest the majority of lag comp issues are actually good old fashioned lag but lag comp has become the phrase de jour nowadays on here and has become the byword for every ailment someone suffers.
but saying that you know as well as us there are some issues, matchmaking is screwy atthe best of times especially as you tried to get clever with party matchmaking and failed then theres host disadvantage/advantage that is still a work in progress (but thats what you get when lerps are done on a sliding scale of latency
)Hello maccabi,
I've read many of your sage words on other threads. Great to chat to you in person.
I think this is a great idea. May I suggest that someone who is respected within the community starts this thread, which I'll make sticky, and that this person moderates and edits the opening post so that duplicate questions are filtered out.
I'd gladly do this but I'm afraid this might be misconstrued as a case of the fox guarding the hen coop!
Best,
