    I understand why it happens but why can't there be a second or multiple hosts (e.g. slave hosts) to cover should the primary give out?  I can't imagine it would be all that difficult.  It's not like the slave host(s) would have to have realtime positional updates etc like the primary host would.  I imagine they would just need pseudo frequent updates regarding current status of the game so it can be picked up again.  With something like this I don't imagine networking would take much of a hit, if any at all.

     

    Is there some other technical challenge preventing this from being factored into these games?  This has become far too common a practice in CoD.  If we're not going to get dedicated servers, we need something to combat this.

    We are exploring dashboarding remedies for future games. If we get something up and running in a reasonable timeframe MW3 could benefit from this although this isn't a priority focus of the support team at the moment.

    And one more thing if you don't mind <3

     

    There's a bug where the 'Explosion' animation is played on players (You place your arms up and wave them around) It currently plays on Riot shield users even if they have Blast Shield equipped. And this causes them to wave their shield around in from of them like it has no weight AND exposes them to gunfire. Could you also send that to the MP team? IT's a game breaking bug for riot shield users and defeats the entire purpose of them taking blast shield

    I know what you mean, i play for fun and its not fun being a crash test dummy for people with lag compensation on their side, i've nothing against losing a match if the other players are good and i never dashboard, stats mean nothing to me, but there is no reason to me playing a full match where i can't do anything, those are the matches where i don't even get a hitmarker when shooting other players, if BO2 has the same hit detection then i am done with the franchise.

     

    This so called new "lag compensation" in MW3 was designed to make the playfield equal to everyone, but it does the opposite thing, it makes the game out-of-sync, great job for testing your games before release and not fixing it after almost 7 months.

    The system now referred to as 'lag compensation' has been present in all CoD games. I'm sorry you are suffering problems like others. We comtinue to try to resolve why this affects certain people.
