Lack of Support and some thoughts.

Hello. I'm a portuguese CoD player so excuse me if i have any errors while i'm writing this. Let me start by saying i dont expect a response from any of the staff and i am just here to speak my mind and probably some of the fellows here. I've been anticipating this CoD for a while, thinking about how awesome it would be, i passed a whole month eating "bread and water" so i could save up to buy it on release date. The big day came and i started to play happy as could be, but then bad stuff started happening. All the bad ideas wich have been put into Cod started rising to the surface and i found myself immersed in a sea of silly stuff like lag compensation, death streaks (wich btw were told that would disapear) among other rage inducing situations. The lack of such basic features like fov slider, sound mixer and many others make me think that us pc players get neglected... Lately the two things that hve been bugging me the most are the lag compensation and op weapons. Why should i, a person who pays for a isp every month, be put on the same level of people who are stealing mcdonalds wi-fi? Now about the op weapons i haven't got a problem with any but one, and i think everyone knows what i'm talking about. Akimbo fmg9s... How come in the last CoD ALL the platforms were getting patches around the same time and now we the pc players are forgotten and get nothing. I think there's a big difference between 3arc and IW and IW could stand to learn something from 3arc. Thank you for those people who read this absurdely long post and hope somebody relates.

    well said.... All true cod pc gamers know the failings of this and the previous two cod releases. There will come a point when these fans of cod will leave for another fps ( if we continually get ignored , and our game experience diluted to more of a console experience)

    Rodric, to be honest, you guys are not the only community that is not getting any support. I am from the Wii community and we seriously get no patches. It's very frustrating to us. 3arch gets more respect from us than IW. But seriously, when was the last time you guys had a patch. For the Wii, last patch was December 2nd. That's how bad it is.

    It's over! The days where pc players would express their thoughts and within a few weeks a patch is put out fixing obvious flaws like certain overpowered weapons, lag problems, etc etc are gone. xbox360 is the new PC, they now get the attention we used to get years ago.

     

    Maybe it's time to move to xbox360, You can buy mouse & keyboard conveter for xbox and play the way you play on pc.

    xbox has major tournaments, everything that pc gaming was headed for until they realized every cash prize tournament was being infiltrated by cheaters, People playing in tourney's with pirate copies of the game and all the good stuff that has gotten way out of hand on the pc gaming platform. I doubt it's ever going to get better. Most new pc gamers who get out there and get raped turn right to cheats because it is so damn easy to cheat on pc. I'll repeat. It's over!

      I agree, unless something is done to stop these numerous hack sites who create / sell cheats for the PC version of the game less than 24 hours after the games released it will be over soon.

      The xbox with mouse & keyboard might be worth a try. The whole set up is about the same price of a good vid card. Maybe instead of upgrading I'll try xbox.

    I dont believe the way to go is to change system. I believe that we shouldn't fix this by leaving our platform, i believe that IW, te people that screwed up need to fix their game. Though i don't believe it will happen and doubt that any patches will ever be released again for pc i swear i will never buy another IW game. Bunch of liars. Unless they come out with a patch that fixes all of this and stops the hackers i think it´s safe to say they can't properly support their own product. failed miserably at creating a balanced game from the get go and have much to learn from 3arc.

    IW can't learn anything from Treyarch because they have been with EA for the past 2 years now. This is Sledgehammer Games you guys are talking about. They are new to CoD and you guys will be the beta testers for the next few years (if you guys keep buying). Don't get misled by the IW logo on the box.

    Don't expect to get a response but i'm hoping someone else sees it and exposes our problem.

      eh don't expect anything from him its a joke over 3 weeks i havn't been ab;e to play mw3 due to not being able to connect to online servers its not a problem on my end its theirs been run around in circles by there "support team" what a joke and as for 402 haha he is just one big joke

    I tried contacting support regarding the lack of patches and they were all "we can't help you" or "we don't know"

     

    Judged on the differences in the FMG9 akimbo in the title 5 and 6 updates I can say that we (PC) still have not received the title 6 update that was suppose to have "nerfed" these guns.

     

    IWs idea of a nerf is pathetic too.  "I'll shoot a slightly lighter bullet instead"

     

    A single Akimbo FMG9 has a higher rate of fire then a single FMG9 as well as a faster reload rate.  All the "nerf" did was lock the hip fire spread in the "moving" position so your Akimbo FMG9s do not get more accurate while at rest.  The guns really need an increased spread and reload rate as well as removing the gain in fire rate.

     

    @fourzerotwo will never answer any PC related tweets, you may try @infinityward but you'll probably have similar success.  It's absolutely pathetic that there is NO contact information regarding IW other then twitter... not very professional if you ask me and I doubt they even give a damn about the PC section of these forums
