Hi there Guys
,
Is it only me, who's having difficulties with linking your Elite account with YouTube, so that You won't lose your videos in future?
You see, I contacted Activison, as the situation improved, as previously the 'YouTube' tab wouldn't even show up properly, but now pressing 'Link' on YT site gives me errors - and so I cannot link!
Here's my discussion with them: http://activision.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/activision.cfg/php/enduser/myq_idp.php?p_ sid=DU63_rQk&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=&p_li=&p_iid=1754808&p_cr eated=1324836662&p_allorg=&p_srch= .
Does anyone also have problems? I've done everything they've asked me to, yet I'm not able to link.
Please say what You think. ![]()
What's the error that you're running into when trying to link your account? Can you tell us what web browser you are using to access Call of Duty Elite? Have you tried to clear your browser cache and cookies?
I'm using Google Chrome, although I've also tried Opera, both with the same effect: I have pressed ''unlink'', but it doesn't - I can press it all over again...
Despite I have revoked access from YouTube and yes, I've cleared my cookies & cache...
P.S. Sorry for such a late reply :/
Are you trying to LINK or UNLINK your account? We need to know which one you are trying to do in order to assist.
I had this problem too. Log into your account on YouTube then go to "Settings". Check were it says "Channel Type", it's going to be either "Standard" or "Director". I think Elite has a problem linking with "Director" accounts, because nothing I tried would work. However, I had an extra account that is "Standard" that linked without a problem when I tried it.
Now the problem is it won't unlink. I was only testing it with that account, I made a different I want to link it to. ![]()
That fix no longer applies since google has changed the way youtube works. No longer can change that setting
