I do not have a gamertag. I don't play on the 360. I can post you my gun k/ds if you like. Though k/d doesn't say it all. (Maps and players you play is different every time, same for connection, I mainly play dom head on). SMGs are easier to use guns, of course most people will do better with them. You do fine with shotguns because they are fine / decent in their zone on a good connection with damage, if you are on target they will ohk a lot with damage cqb. Yes, they get strange hitmarkers but all guns do. I agree they get them too much, thus small buffs would be nice. I wouldn't like 2-pellet kills as it would take away good aiming ability needed to get a kills constantly. At the same time I feel they don't reward good aim enough. (thus the tweaks I want). Not that I would mind a 2-pellet kill model or spas much, I just don't think the devs will ever do it, do to these maps and the big amount of anti-shotgun players. Getting ohked is annoy you know.
My worst shotty is the model, in fact if I didn't use it in HC for half of the kills, it would have k/d -0.7 lower compared to my best smg (mp7). I have always said to buff the model. The spread is just horrible. I know it's easier to aim with, but who cares if you're good you would would want a smaller spread so that there is a bigger chance of hitting pellets once on target & I would gladly take an extra pellet for it and the spas.
You can keep on asking for a 2 pellet kill, but it ain't happening. Asking for a pellet more (since the usas-12 has 9 while being automatic) seems fair. Same for the better spread adsed and smg movement speed adsed.

K/d can give a great amount of insight into how a weapon performs compared to other weapons that have the same role. Smgs, shotguns, and the cqc oriented ARs can have their k/d's directly compared because they have the same role. You cant compare shotgun k/d to LMG k/d because they have different roles and the playstyles are too different. But shotguns smgs, g36, m4, scar L, and others can easily compare k/d to see which weapon is strait up better.
I do not notice strange hitmarker from other weapons. The rate of fire keeps strange hitmarkers that happen almost unnoticeable. From my use with snipers I have not seen a really bad hitmarker yet in a thousand kills or so.
I don't like dying regardless of how it happens. I mind less when I am killed by weapons with flaws. I got killed by a gut using the ksg the other day, I tried to start a slow clap out of respect.
I will keep asking for all of it because it is fair. Shotguns are the only weapon in mw3 where you have to earn a balanced performance. We need shotguns to be better. We will ask for what we know is balanced. There have been cods in the past with maps this small and all the features we are asking for. The 2 pellet kill up close, spread tightening while ads, and 80% movement while ads are balanced features regardless of map size. (within reason of course)
Aim for the moon and you just might hit the stars.

Thank god for Double Weapon XP.
Managed to level up the AA-12 to Level 18 in a couple of hours using the Specialist Strike Package.
(My K/D ratio is taking a toll on using the AA-12 though)
But good to see other players use different weapons for once while we have Double Weapon XP (wish it was permanent). I actually got killed by an AA-12 & Spas-12 today.

By the way, what's the better on the AA-12, Damage or Range?

I wish I had your connections constancy. I actually have like a 10 % lower sniper rifle accuracy in this game compared to blops and that game has serious hit detection problems as well & initial sway for snipers, but at least with a local lock option. When I do hit people I'm never sure if it's going to be an ohk with impact on. I thus rarely use sniper rifles, bar for the bigger maps. It plays flawlessly in lobbies with mainly 4 bar players though, with the occasional hitmarker here and there. It's the same with the T95 for me. It's a God-like gun on the right connection, it feels unfair as it then one burst kills over 90 % of the time up to decent mid range, but with a little lag it's just annoying to use. My T95 k/d and spas k/d are similar (t95 being higher though and I used it more in BS lag invested lobbies). I generally only use shotties on the smaller maps and in good lobbies, otherwise there is no point in them bar for the striker and usas-12. They are too frustrating to use constantly in this game.
Automatics are better guns than shotguns, simply for being more diverse and for being much easier to get kills with constantly mid range. Shotguns need great positioning sense and excellent fast aim constantly. They are all ok with damage, the usas-12 and striker being fine, with the usas-12 lacking a bit of damage outside its max damage range. The model, spas, aa-12 and ksg (lacking max damage range) are too inconstant cqb on the long run, so yeah any constancy buffs cqb would be nice.

And you need to trust me that a 2 pellet kill before the damage drop is the best and easiest way to insure consistency. These weapons clearly need a base stat change to try to get some better performance out of them. If master shotgunners cant get a single pump action to perform better than the worst smgs then there is definitely a problem balance wise. We know what we are asking for is fair and statisticly a buff is needed.

I know, it enrages me how the shotguns got nerfed yet pp90s, acrs and mp7 were left untouched. And now I see they unbuffed the lmgs on ps3. WOW.
