Focus Proficiency

I see a lot of people that rave about this proficiency but I never use it.
I don't use it because if I take damage in a gun fight, I'm dead. I hardly ever see a red screen when playing and nearly every death is like I'm getting sniped. And even then, when I get into head to head gun fights it turns out to be bad that I got the first shot because by me shooting the enemy first it allows the enemies shots to flinch into a headshot. I get headshot an absurd amount of times.
I'd like to use Focus but until I take damage on a consistent basis it has got to be the most worthless proficiency there is.
I do largely agree. Focus would be much more beneficial in a game like black ops where it takes more bullets to kill. Not to mention the lag in this game turns most guns into the sniper rifle when it comes to getting hit and reacting. I do like Focus on the MK 14 and sniper rifles because usually I'm far enough away it takes the opponet more bullets to kill, so its advantage is better utilized.
I always thought, that since bullets in MW3 are like nuclear warheads, why not increase the effectiveness of Focus itself?
Also, whoever though of the "Breath" proficiency needs to get fired.

I don't see the point in breath at all. I mean the guns don't sway enough for it to be needed. And when the guns do sway the maps are so small that the enemy is close enough that people are close enough that the sway does not mattter. Most pointless proficiency........besides attachments on the Model 1887.
FYI, the Attachments proficiency is faded with the Model 1887. Hence you cannot use it lol.

It should not have even been on there in the first place. That is my point.
Goes to show that development was completely rushed by copy/pasting crap and all...
Well if you think about it this game was made in half of the time if not less then the other COD games. Lawsuit took up alot of time. Still going on in fact.
Hold on bro you do have a point but dont say it too load somebody might wirte a complaint it about and knowing how our Game Devs. loves to fix things and are so good at might just stick there hand in there, just saying..
use breath on mk14
No offense to anyone but i think focus is for those who have gun skills and can strafe and drop shot while getting shot and still stay stern. Just my opinion.
Think about it from the point of view of the people who have the lag problem where they just die and never really take damage.
Yeah i understand totally. But in those cases its not for them. I dont always have the lag problem but from time to time i do.
Tend to agree...sans gun skills comment.
yeah, i'm an MK-14 user, and I was thinking of doing breath the next prestige just so I can get marksman pro, sice I don't really use sniper rifles too often. but I didn't think of flinch for it, as well. I normally use the multiple attatchments, because I keep the RoF increase as a just incase measure. But I might try the focus one sometime, but I agree. it was probably more meant for mid-long range assault users.
You don't need breath to get marksman. If you hold down the breath button you could level up marksman even if you didn't have a hold-breath option. Unless they patched it recently.

Yeah, seems you're right.
I use focus but only with my Ksg i prefer it over damage and range
I'd say for single or burt fire weapons its used more.
I use Focus and Stalker with all of my AR classes.. if I take a couple of bullets it won't knock my shot off and my strafe will prevent the enemy from flinching into a headshot. I think it's a very under-rated set-up
Must be nice to be able to take a couple of bullets and live. I know no such thing.
I use Focus on my ACR setup. I used to think it was silly until I tried it out for a couple days. Now I can't live without it.
With Focus, you win far more gun battles than you normally would. In situations where the opponent gets the drop on you, you're pretty much dead. No profiency is going to help you there. But when you and the opponent both spot each other at the same time, you should be able to get at least one shot on your opponent (unless they one-shot you with a headshot, QS, shotgun blast, etc). When you do, you should be able to land the majority of your next few shots since you barely flinch. Your opponent, one the other hand, will be spraying the sky before they die.
I've been in plenty of gun battles that I felt I should've lost, but won due to Focus. And I'm sure my opponents were raging like crazy afterwards.
