Yeah i agree quickscoping is stupid and pointless....But im not against sniping i would like to see sniper only maps but sadly the callofduty maps are far to small for any enjoyment of sniping.....the art of sniping is lying there without being detected and taking out the enemy from miles away not running and jumpimg around like a dick taking pot shots i found black ops a better sniping games. with mw3 you dont even need the cross hairs even on the target to get a kill..

Your Right Discussion ended, as long as that troll el2kay is okay with that.
Actually, it's **you're** right..

It's the difference between knowing your shite and knowing you're shite.

Sorry.. had to.
But seriously, practice what you preach and never mind how someone else wants to play the game. They bought it...or had their uncle, mom, dad, whatever buy it for them
. Let them play how they want even though setting each other up for trickshots is lame... You go ahead and keep passive, "no really, I'm not camping" sniping in TDM where it counts and I'll keep aggro sniping in OBJ games while capping and trapping like a boss.

Should that not be sniping (aka Hardscoping)???
Nothing wrong with it at all my friend, and anyone who says otherwise is probably intellectually challenged and thus their opinions are rendered null and void. I get great satisfaction from detecting someone running in the open at long range, leading him with my crosshairs and then taking him out at the perfect moment, or scanning the horizon and noticing the smallest portion of an enemy sniper protruding from cover and taking him out "Enemy at the Gates" style.
At the same time I also like quickscoping and think it's quite a fun game mechanic... and this is a game after all.

While you're entitled to your opinion about quickscoping, you are incorrect to say that the crosshairs don't need to be on the target for you to get a kill. For everytime you may have seen a quickscope that appeared to be off target and yet rewarded with a kill, there are just as many shots where you'll be sure you were perfectly on target and got no kill... that's lag my friend and it messes with us all.

FSDJFDSSFSHHFSDHDSHFSDHF now that I got your attention, I must say the following - which is VERY important:
Its not quickscoping that bothers you by itself. Have you ever thought why you get scoped so quickly? Its because most quickscopers have awesome connection (usually four bars) and they step in and see you before you can see it on your screen, that leads to instant deaths. I think if some guys that had the same connection made "eye-contact" (needless to say, at the same time - you can't make eye contact not at the same time), the sniper would probably lose because its much faster to aim with a ACR or any SMG and shoot 'em, the sniper would flinch and most likely not be able to properly execute a quickscope. Also, they must use quickdraw, so UAV and stun grenades will do the trick. I've noticed this from killcams, I've tried quickscoping myself and I'm not bad but I run on a slow connection so I have to wait a while longer after I've aimed down sights, else the shot will just go anywhere (L118A and MSR on gold and everything), 4 bar connection usually doesn't have this problem. Bottom line, you can't quickscope with a bad connection so they must have a good one and the lag owns you there, its not just the quickscope.

Sniping in itself, especially in this game is pretty easy on a low sensitivity and marksman. The tricky part is most these maps only have a few long sights bar for Bakaraa, so you need to be a quick sniper even when mainly playing stationary.
Now if you do it the qs way running around cautiously (obviously) on a very high sensitivity, while being shot from every angle (most likely using qdraw with the uav spam) all-round you actually need to be accurate & quick to get those long & mid range kills before dying constantly. Cqb I would generally switch to Akimbo, unless I don’t have the time or feel cocky.
On these maps you need to be good mid range at least with a sniper and quick. The sniper rifle was better balanced when no gun had Qdraw / soh pro ads speed like in cod4 / waw –minus jugg and those games had more diverse maps.
