The USAS is the best shotty.  It has more stock damage then the model which gives it the edge to me.  I cant use the thing just because of how it sounds man.  I know that sounds stupid but the tin can sound annoys the piss out of me.  It is so powerfull with damage its amazing though.  I dont like the KSG only for the fact that its similar to the model and If I am going to use a single shot gun I am going to use the "sexy" one haa..

I played against a guy with a gold SPAS and picked it up.  That gun is beastly with damage as well and he trashed me most of the game though I have never levelled it up myself.

Its a pity they did'nt put the sawn off double barrells in MW3, used these in the older MW and enjoyed them.  Have them on akimbo and there was no better way to clear a room

Haaaa....I got that badboy gold twice and its bad ass when you run into mult enemies.  Curious if you stick with range or use damage?  I found range to be much better on that one.

On another note what in the flyingfuck where those idiots doing running their whole team into a corner at the start of a match.  Nice tactic...LMAO....

My opinion on Shotguns is 50/50 really. They take a painfully long time to get good and really are only usable on 2 maps if that until you get the range proficiency. I've also found(and this may be due to lag or whatever else) that the automatic shotguns are really the only ones worth trying to level and those just being the USAS-12 and the Striker.

The USAS-12 has become my favorite shotgun overall and it really becomes a monster when you get the range proficiency, though getting there is incredibly painful and annoying. I run it now with specialist killstreaks and it seems to be a great gun to use on a couple of different maps, though I still get slaughtered and lose most 50/50 gun fights with SMG users. The Striker to me is "noobish" because most people you see using it are just running around with scavenger and spraying bullets everywhere and not even good at aiming. The USAS you actually need to be somewhat accurate.

The KSG-12, SPAS, and 1887 for me are way to inconsistent on 1-shot kills, especially being some of the better damage shotguns, so I don't even bother using them, especially since the first several levels with them are awful until you get good proficiencies unlocked. I don't even consider using the AA-12 because of the small magazine and miniscule damage.
