Apparently halo takes more skill than cod

I just heard someone say that core takes more skill than hardcore because you have to aim for longer than 10 seconds. Well in halo, it takes like 30 seconds before you get a kill, so aiming is crucial--as every bullet counts.
This isn't an angry thread, just a curious one. Thoughts?
I've played very little HALO but I would have to agree it takes more skill.
COD holds your hand and basically feeds you kills.
The only people who say Halo takes more skill are the players who suck at CoD. Just like the ones who say CoD takes more skill are the players who suck at Halo.
Personally, I don't give a flying rats ass for which game takes more "skill". I play the game that offers the most fun and CoD wins by a landslide.
This^^
Actually, gaylo does take more skill. I beast at CoD, but I actually have to try harder than usual when i'm playing Reach because of the overshield crap. You can't even gun down more than 1-2 people together without explosives because your overshield will be gone by the time the first guy dies, then his buddy kills you. But CoD will always be the better game because people use more teamwork.
Not really interested in which game has the higher skill cap. If I played enough Halo chances of me being good at that are high, but I don't.
Someone who plays a game often is bound to be good at it eventually. The two games should never EVER be compared. They're two different worlds and I don't understand why people insist in comparing them.
People like to compare different FPS games, although it's true that CoD and Gaylo are 2 different worlds. Halo 3 was my first 360 game and I was good at it, and I still managed to pick up CoD a whole lot faster becasue it's just an easier game, and it seems like IW just wants to keep making it easier so that more casual players will spend their money.
this isnt a cod vs halo thread hes try to start another core vs hardcore argument to prove how great he is by playing hardcore
........
Really I thought he was on the core side of the debate.....
I'm good at both COD and Halo and I personally think that Halo 3 takes more skill then MW3 for one the true skill system keeps you against players who are on your skill level, also the most "op" gun on halo 3 took 3 perfectly placed bursts to get a kill (Battle Rifle 3 shots ftw) while Mw3 you dont even need to aim and can kill people in damn near an instant
Not to mention if you don't do well your rank went down.....
yea once you were up in the 40-50 level range it was a constant battle to keep your level up you could go 20 wins in a row then have 2 losses and loose a level
Halo hands down takes more skill. U have to be a very good shot and every bullet counts. Im pretty good a both halo and cod, but i enjoy the fast pace action of cod (as long as the ain't campers everywhere) which i like bettter.
Each game requires its own level of skill, neither takes more skill than the other. Just a different skill set that not everyone has.
Same as with core and hardcore in this game. Neither is harder to play, nor does either take more skill in truth.
People just like to through about the 'skill' word to make themselves sound good and to feel good about the time they wasted playing a video game.
