Stop be and leave your thoughts...
well i watched the first half out of boredom, i normally dont watch commentary videos at all. Your first point about DLC, is just off. Map packs normally take some time to come out. COD4 got 1 map pack, and it was way, way after release. I want to say sometime in the summer after release? MW2's map packs were also months after the release. Granted I didn't buy anything for MW2 so I don't know the exact release date, but it was well after the game came out. Again with Black ops, the first map pack (which was terrible btw) came out around February/March, same time as MW3.
So its the same schedule for MW3, I don't see a cause for complaint. Just ignore everything about elite, you didn't buy it, welcome to the smart consumer ranks. Elite Premium users haven't gotten anything worth talking about, none of them are happy with their product, so they got a couple of days of extra double xp. They also had to play the elite playlists to get it, and guess what? Those moshpits suck. There is no reason to ever envy Elite premium users.
You may have misunderstood, my problem isn't the schedule but more so the way non Elite premium members have to wait 3 months after the premium members get the maps. I just feel 3 months is far too long.
And I say 3 months is completely normal, especially since all xbox users get the maps over a month before ps3 users. Given how much they ***** about that, you really dont have any ground to stand on.
The poor take up of DLC maps also effects premium subscribers. I can hardly get a game on the DLC maps.
In my opinion, back in the COD4 days, map packs were released late because the devs took their time to make the maps...with the Elite system in place, the devs rush to put out content, thus resulting in crap, underdeveloped maps and content.
COD4 only released 1 map pack and those maps were crap besides broadcast. I never touched any of DLC from WaW. MW2's DLC were fine, but it was hard to enjoy when there's to many players abusing OMA. BO regret buying the first DLC not even worth it. The only thing I enjoyed out of MW3 DLC is some spec ops and overwatch rest ar bleeh.
Never purchased elite, cannot comment, as for mw3 multiplayer despite my negativity towards this game there are some really interesting ideas knocking about. Just a small example is stalker, i have been crying out for a counter to the dropshotters for an age, just a shame connectivity does not allow it to perform to its best ability.
I like the addition of Stalker to the game. There are definitely some decent ideas put in place with MW3 but no one can deny the game and Elite as a whole didn't live up to the hype or promises.
You dont want to wait 3 months for the maps ? then buy elite Premium .
You arent going to get them early for nothing.
Early is 1 thing but waiting 3 months is ridiculous. Then again I'm sure the Premium guys agree with it so they don't fell like they wasted $50... But that still doesn't change the fact that MW3 and Elite didn't live up to the hype or promises.
