Er, because you can tell after a host migration - depending on the countdown. The host has a higher countdown whilst all the other players start about 8-9 seconds before match restarts, the host has about 14-16 seconds. Also my ping rate is about 10m/s prior to becoming host - which is good, but then it drops dramatically when my connection then has to process 12 players actions.

Also, in the lobby before a game starts, if a host leaves, the scores all go to 0 - the host is at the top, or near the top. I can just tell.

I do care about my stats to an extent, as strangely despite this being the only CoD that I absolutely hate, that its the only CoD I have a positive KDR on, but moreover a KDR that actually reflects the player I am. It's not great, something like 1.68, but again, I refuse to be penalised for having a good connection so everyone in the lobby will just have to put up with the fact the game will end should I be shot round corners or get 8-10 hitmarkers only to be switched on and killed without my screen even going red.

The game is ruined for me when I pull host, so why should I let others have a lag free game, the game will end. Tough!

So what you're saying then is that any player (host or not) who regularly quits games because of IW's incompetance so be deranked? Such a silly comment to make.

Shame it'll never happen anyways! So I guess i'll keep on dashboarding!

@Sausage, Yeah I'm mad, you can tell by the way I wrote "lol". Maybe it's your reading and understanding that needs some work...

You keep throwing insults around, and making excuses while you try to pad out your stats via the dashboard...

You have earned everyone's respect here...

    Good job...

When all the players start warping around corners and then I die from them, I dashboard, to go play a different game alltogether.  I also pee in the pool. So sue me.

    THIS ^

It's all about having fun for me and if I'm getting killed in BS ways and the lag comp is spanking me hard, I will dashboard. I never did in MW2 but I do on MW3 although it's a rare thing for me to do.

    Re: Done with the DASHBOARDING!

This is what I have read so far in this thread:

"I dashboard when the other team is better then me, err..umm..I mean my 1337 connection gives me lag comp and other people are playing cheap"

"People who dashboard are actually padding their stats"

"Who cares it's a video game"

Honestly, I think I side with 2nd statement.  It is only a video game, but by being host and dashboarding, you are now impacting others that do take this seriously or even worse...you brag about your stats so people think you are good.  At some point principal needs to come into play.

    I am all for a quitter's penalty.

    Re: Done with the DASHBOARDING!

So penalize me. Cause like the honey badger, I dont give a _____.   Its a rare thing if I do DB, but if I do, Im not padding stats, Im not trying to make it crash for everyone else, Im just done with people bouncing all over the screen. Obviously something is wrong with either the game  or my internet....so I go play a different game. I would have no problem with the 10 min Halo rule, hell, make it an hour. Cause like I said, Ive switched to a diff game by then.

Dashboarding is as common as Quickscopers that go positive in this game, not really a huge issue IMO. Id rather they fix these junk matchmaking/connection problems.

Like seriously you should be punished if you dashboard.Rather its you cant play for a certain time or whatever.I believe nobodys stats at all.I dont care if you even jump into a game and your loosing ...and then you dashboard.I think no matter what you should still have to play that game.Seriously this game is a joke.

I don't care if people dashboard because...

    ... I don't care about their stats.

... my games tend to turn over entire teams.

... it really doesn't affect me.

    ... and BTW... it's "you're" and "losing".

I know when I'm lagging and when I'm not. I don't care about other people's principles and all I care about is my own fun. I know what I'm capable in the game but when the enemy bullets are curving around the corner, it's not fun and it's time to dashboard. I say the devs fix this game instead, don't penalize the host, and you'll see a lot less dashboarding.

    Re: Done with the DASHBOARDING!

Like said if they give people the option to join games late or not and if they fix all the issues the host has so that he’s not dealing with an unfair disadvantage and if they improve matchmaking to mw2 standard (like it was in its prime with 10 ping intervals). Then yes constant quitters should be punished / deranked. As long as there is a disadvantage and people get losses for someone elses incompetence (people joining late in well lost games), you can’t really blame people quitting in these types of situations.

I hope blops 2 has a better hosting and machmaking system and that they actually punish constant quitters (next to giving them a loss).
