WE NEED MORE CUSTOMIZATION

Posted by CALLOZOMBIES on Jun 14, 2012 5:25 PM

Okay so I've been looking at the forums and a lot of the people want more customization such as custom maps, custom characters, and custom lobbies like in multiplayer private match.

Topic 1 CUSTOM MAPS: ok well custom maps is a good idea not to mention how fun it would be.It could be like forge mode in halo only way more complex and I understand activision has to get money by selling dlc but these maps would be made by us and i doubt that if we made custom maps treyarch and activision would lose any money in fact they would probably gain money when people see how awesome custom maps will be plus we would still buy dlc for the story and new guns, perks, etc.

Topic 2 CUSTOM CHARACTERS: Okay so we have seen the thing about zombie story mode and 8 player zombies so if they want to add classics in story that's fine I'd prefer it in fact as apposed to a whole new zombies story but in cases like 4v4 or survival or whatever else they have we NEED custom characters.the classics are fun but i just think that customs would be a lot more personal and entertaining things like customizing your characters build,gender,race,clothing/armor,and voice/personality.I'd love to see some huge guy with a squeaky voice toting a freaking thundergun around it would be fun and that's why we play anyway for fun.

Topic 3 Custom lobbies:Ok so we know that zombies is running on the multiplayer engine and in multiplayer we have custom/private lobbies well, why not in zombies I mean the ability to decrease prices and rig the mystery box would be great and just so people aren't on me about the leaderboards and how that would be unfair well there's an easy solution, just make the private matches not count on leaderboards its as simple as that.

Conclusion:Well those are the custom things treyarch needs to add to make zombies as good as possible(note:These are some of wht i was thinking and what i've seen in the forums)

Custom zombies would be too much for the CPU to process on any counsel excluding computer.  It would have to be halo's forge mode.  Maybe we could import maps fom our computer to the PS3 or Xbox.

Custom characters would have to be for custom or non-storyline maps.  I'd really like to see a thing where you could customize a character based on your characteristics so you know how you would perform in a zombie apocalypse.

I'm cool with the custom lobbies thing.  I had a hacked lobby in world at war where all we did was play paintball.  It was awesome!!!

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has custom characters. Gender, build, armour, guns, camo masks, EVERYTHING. Its on the PS3 & Xbox AND it was made in 2006.... I think 3arch can handle it.

So long as the core game is not hurt and runs as well as it should, custom characters would be fantastic. There should be limitations on colours and garishness, combinations of items and dimensions or size of character but the individual element would make this really enjoyable.

I'm thinking something that is normal or feasible-looking (whilst still unique up close) in the game but really can be analysed and seen up close in the Player Card.

no have private matches count ... but put it to where if you change any of the settings then it will go into sandbox mode ... therefore sandbox mode doesnt go on the leaderboards.!!!

I like all the ideas. On iPhone there is a game called Labyrinth, and it is a game where you tilt a marble from one place to another in a small top down map, avoiding obstacles. Each person gets a code, which can be used on the website to create their own stages on their computers, and play them on the iPhone. Something like that for zombies would be really fun, especially since having a computer would make map creation a lot easier. Also, Guitar Hero had custom songs, but they weren't very good, but the people who understood them really well could make some really good songs with it. This could create a community, and people could download and rate each other's maps.

The money issue does arise. Let's say today's Black Ops had a map making feature. One of the big selling points of "Moon" is its gravity and sound changes. Only one person has to pay for Rezzurection, and then they make a map with Moon's features. Everyone has access to that. There is also a chance of piracy, where people only need to pay for a map, and then they just copy/remake it and put it on the server, where it is free. Hoperfully Treyarch can find a way around it. I'm not getting my hopes too high, though.

Custom characters would be fun, but I'm worried it could overload the RAM of the console.
