CLAN OPS INCLAN LEADERBOARD

I thought I would share this with you guys as I think it's a good idea, it's not an actual feature yet but hopefully it will be implemented in the future but until then our clan is doing it manually and you could too.
Within our clan we now have a leaderboards for Clan Ops based upon the position people finished within the clan and also for paricipation. We think that it encourages more people to take part as well as encouraging a little friendly rivalry. This is how it works.
1st place gets 10 points
2nd place gets 9 points
3rd place gets 8 points
4th place gets 7 points
5th place gets 6 points
6th place gets 5 points
Everyone else who took part gets 4 points
What do you think guys?
Edit. See below for the other points we are awarding. We are now rewarding extra points for other things relating to Clan Ops thank you for the suggestions (you know who you are, thanks) ![]()
Seems like a useful bit of info to have on hand. It might be a way to encourage all the coattail riders to actually get out there and make an effort. You could also add a 2/1/0 bonus for Gold/Silver/Bronze...degree of difficulty and all that.
Just as a point of reference, could you post or PM the scores of your top 5 producers.
As you asked bud just see below ![]()
And the reward for these points are? E-peen? What are you? 12?
What's one more set of stats, especially if it gets more clan members to join in the ops? Perhaps the top earners in a clan can choose the background for the clan page on a weekly basis or get preferential treatment when suggesting new members. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging and tracking an individual members contribution to his clan. The clan leader can tell at a glance who is essential to the clans performance and who is just letting others do all the work-this could be used to further improve the clans performance by cutting loose some of the deadwood or at least slow down the spamming of clan boards by non-participants trying to get their friends brought into the clan, especially around the time the earners bring the clan to a double xp milestone.
They are already tracking results clan v clan in ops and player v player in Lone Wolf ops by your placement rank and by awarding pictures of various medals that you and your clan display in a virtual showcase. They also track your win/loss, k/d, spm, accuracy, total points, points per game, and dozens of other stats depending on game mode for the world to see.
Please tell me you have no idea of your own k/d, spm or w/l. Please tell me you have never, ever checked your own standing in any of your favorite game types, or your score at the end of a match. Have you ever played in a lone wolf or clan op and checked your ranking at the end of such?
Your answer either brands you a hypocritical troll or possibly the ONLY player in COD history who can make that claim.
Like it or not, this game is built around stats. We all know they're meaningless in the real world, but honestly, who would play this or any other FPS, hell, any other type of game-digital or otherwise-without at least a score at the end of a match? All the rest of the stat keeping just refines the data and I see no problem with adding one more benchmark to the mix, especially for the reasons the OP suggested.
Get off your high horse!...but first let me get a stopwatch, I want to time you. ![]()
To answer your question troll, the rewards for these points are:
1. The less active members being more active and more Clan Op participation.
2. The clan leveling up quicker.
3. More rewards such as titles, emblems and double xp.
4. More clan activity for those that want it.
5. A quick and easy way to see who is helping the clan the most and the least which could be a useful tool.
6. A way for the whole clan to see how much effort some people are putting in and possibly shaming less willing less active premium members into being more active. After all its hardly fair that a few of us play game modes we don't like in order to get 'extras' that others who do very little (or nothing) for the clan also receive.
I can't imagine that you could comprehend these points though as you obviously struggled to understand the original more simple reasoning behind it.
(Edit) Shame is probably not the word i'm looking for. 4 days a week the clan message of the day is giving times and details of Clan Ops and for the other 3 days a week it will be displaying a condensed Clan Ops Leaderboard for the previous month and we also have some HIGHLY competitive premium clan members and having these peoples names with a 7th or 10th position next to their names will motivate them as I know for a fact they will not be happy with those positions and will not want to be out done by others. I know these people well and I guarantee they will be doing more Clan Ops in the future lol.
I am looing for clan members hardcore gamers only we need someone who snipes , 2 people who use the SMG ,and 1 shotgun we are only lvl 1 we need members please join NsBorofrontline

It would be a good idea if it was done by Elite rather than you yourself as there is really little insentive for somone to want to gain the points. Where as if Elite did it then it could be for example get x number of points to unlock some features (could see 3arc doing such a system). Your points need to be more greatly staggered though for a point system to work
All our Clan members that participated including non premium or non founders get mentioned equally with "no" stats and in no particular order. Just a thank you for helping us get Gold or what ever.
Then again our Clan has been together for 6 years and we have tried all these suggestions, they fail miserably for the peeps that try and don't get high on the scoreboard but did give there all for our Clan ![]()
I can see what you're saying. The fact that you've tried these methods over a very considerable timeframe, without the desired results, speaks volumes.
I'm part of a 90+ plus clan that was formed when ELITE appeared. We have an open door policy, although we are starting to ask new members to be premium/founder.
My issue is with those who seem to have the skills to do well for the clan, in fact, presented such during the application stage as a selling point, and then consistently avoid the ops.
It seems it's the same 20-40 people that play for all or part of an op. I know my meager kd always takes a hit during them-I never play HC other than ops and the domcaps are always filled with non-clan defenders who take their toll. I do the the ops I can, cause that's what I signed on for, but it's starting to get a little frustrating at the imbalance that is becoming more and more evident, op after op.
Given your own experience, how do you try and motivate your clan members-in-name- only to get out there and show some solidarity with their more active clanmates. I know we all have lives that prevent our playing in every op, at least I hope so, lol, but if tracking the earners and identifying the shirkers doesn't work...then what does?
All I want to see is more clan members out there trying...whatever their individual results are. Perhaps a point per clan op hour played, regardless of performance, might encourage a bigger turnout.
We have a "Soldier Of The Month Award", and staff are excluded including Squad Commanders, Recruiting Officer and Co- Leaders. When a Clan Soldier is nominated and awarded Soldier of the month he gets his name colour changed on the Website for a month, a medal for that month and a $25.00 PSN card. This is our way of saying Thankyou, especially for there unrecognised support in Clan Opps if he is not a Premium or Founder in ELITE. We all take a severe hammering with our KD/R's during Clan Opps to get Gold and be in the top 1000 to top 800 Clans, and we could not do that with out our non Premium or non Founders in-game support.
We generate the $25.00 a month via a donation box on our Website.
Yh good idea bro, I had a similar idea of some type of monetary reward but I didn't think anyone would like to contribute even a small fee and didn't want to ask so I just forgot about it. I do think its a good idea though I just didn't see a good way to fund it or implement it. Good luck with your clan bro ![]()
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions, there have been some good ones and I think we will be adding most of them.
@dszwec I see what you are saying but by staggering the points system more the result would be some people who finish say 1st or 2nd would get a lot of points and others who have put just as much time and effort in getting hardly any points and it might discourage people who regularly finish say 5th or 6th and mean they no longer bother.
We are doing a Clan Ops Inclan Leaderboards (C.O.I.L. for short) each month and another one which totals up each month. Below is our C.O.I.L for June and the numbers in brackets are the number of Clan Ops each person participated in which firstly shows at a glance who is making the most effort and secondly shows those that are not.
CLAN OPS INCLAN LEADERBOARD: JUNE
1ST. Smokin 95 (11)
2ND. Sal car 82 (11)
3RD. Trix 69 (9)
4TH. Bloom 61 (7)
5TH. Troll 58 (7)
6TH. UTB 33 (5)
7TH. SG 28 (4)
8TH. Noia 27 (4)
9TH. Nups 17 (3)
10TH. Enser 16 (2)
11TH. Phatz 12 (2)
12TH. Shaun 11 (2)
13TH. Logger 7 (1)
14TH. Christian 6 (1)
15TH. Hensel 4 (0.05) (1 game)
I think for July these are the changes that we are going to add:
+3 points for Gold (for everyone who participated for more than 1 hour)
+2 points for silver (for everyone who participated for more than 1 hour)
+1 point for every hour of Clan Op participation
Lastly none of us like to play hardcore so as an extra incentive and reward for those that do the hardcore events an extra 10 points for everyone who participates for the full 3 hours in each hardcore event.
I would just like to add that there is several reasons for us having a C.O.I.L. but the biggest single reason is to encourage more people to take part in the Clan Ops as we have 22 premium members yet only have on average 4 premium members taking part in the Clan Ops and so far so good. Tonight for example we had 9 premium members doing the Op which I think is the best and highest number of premium members taking part than ever before so it is working for us (so far) ![]()
So I have been giving the points system a lot of thought and I think this might be slightly better.
+1 point for 1 hour of Clan Op participation
+2 points for the second hour of Clan Op participation. (totalling 3 points counting 1st hour)
+3 points for the 3rd and final hour of Clan Op participation (totalling 6 points including the first 2 hours)
I think this might be better as its more rewarding the longer you play. If you played the first 2 hours and got 3 points then you may as well play the final hour and get twice as many. After all the point of this system is to encourage more people to do Clan Ops and its obviously more useful to the clan to have people play for the full 3 hours instead of an hour or less. I think (and hope) by essentially doubling the points awarded for each subsequent hour will encourage people to continue playing the Ops.
Btw still awarding +10 points to everyone who completes the whole 3 hours of a hardcore Clan Op...
UPDATE: Im putting each points system we have decided to use into one comment box to make it easier for you guys to see the complete system without the need to piece it together from several comments. I hope it helps guys and good luck with your clans everyone. ![]()
1st place gets 10 points

6th place gets 5 points
Everyone else who took part gets 4 points
+1 point for 1 hour of Clan Op participation
+2 points for the second hour of Clan Op participation. (totalling 3 points including the first hour)
+3 points for the 3rd and final hour of Clan Op participation (totalling 6 points including the first 2 hours)

Lastly none of us like to play hardcore so as an extra incentive and reward for those that do the hardcore events an extra 10 points for everyone who participates for the full 3 hours in each hardcore event.
Thank you to everyone who helped me with this in particular graphitetek.
Elite should have a system like this inplace and take scores an rank up the clan ops leaders in each clan(maybe even emblem for 10 1st places or something like that within the clan) but this would be way to much to ask for. They already ripped us off and sold us an item that was never ready to hit the market.
Agreed bud. But until that happens (I wont hold my breath) we are trying to make the most out of what we do have and to encourage more of our members to be active and not leave all the rewards to be earnt by just a few of us.
Im bumping this for two reasons guys, firstly I thought it might be useful to some of you as a tool to encourage your less active Clan mates and secondly I would be interested to know if anyone thinks this is a good idea?
