I think if KDR was removed ppl would have more fun!!!

Titke says it all. I think if ppl didnt care about their KDR, ppl would have more fun playing the objectives and such. It gets pretty annoying to hear ppl talk about their kdrs or ppl camping in objective type modes and playing like its TDM. they didnt do anything to help the team at all.

I had a 1.90 when i only cared about my KDR. I was always checking it out, making sure it was staying even or goin up. I found myself always getting pissed and rage quiting when i did bad and wouldnt let my KDR get that bad. i would only go for kills and didnt cap flags or get tags.i mostly used the ACR, MP7, and camped out for my killstreaks.

Then i joined a clan, playin more DOM, S&D, KC, DEMO, TD etc, all objective type modes. Once i started to not care, HOLY SH*T i was having more fun, using dif guns, perks, the riot shield, trophy system, sacrificing myself to cap a flag, deny 3 tags and they only get mine, anything to help the team win instead of only thinking of a dumb stat.

Now its 1.72 and still goin down, and i could care less now

Most definately!
You would see more people like the viedo with the guy with dual handguns aiming upwards running like a funny person!!!!!!!

I agree 100%

Stats (and the importance put on them) is what has turned the spotsmanship of the game in the toilet.

This is how I play I want all the kills and I want the win I have 2 kd with 2 win loss and the only time I'll brag is if my team won and I got 40 kills now if I got 40 kills and my team lost I won't say anything n yes I have used almost every weapon u can name in mw3

eh this is correct to a certain point, i care about my kdr but i also go for the objectives while im playing, you will see me being the only person actually attacking head on and at the same time capping flags/planting bombs etc and my kdr is 1.35 and rising, it just all depends on how and with who you play the game. In my clan my leader runs around like crazy capturing everything and still manages to have a kdr of 1.98 and rising mainly because his kd in every game is no less then 55 kills...so like i said earlier this is correct to a certain point, i care about my kdr but i also have tons of fun.

Great players play the objective head on and get high amount of kills / scores and often k/ds as well.

If they removed stats, they game would have 10x times more people ignoring the objective, trickshooting and doing all kinds of stupid shi-t.

  lilely very true... but you would also have 10x more playing playing the objectives and getting out from behind bushes.
  
  You make a good, and the argument does go both ways.
  
  (and poeple are doing trickshots for youtube vids... which is also another problem. If people poo-pooed on those kind of vid feeds, the trickshooting would slow down)

When I cared about my KD I would only play a class that benefits me and kept my KD going up. Now I play a different classes and try different guns. Its harder, but its new and is keeping the game interesting. Instead of going 25kills 1 assist 5 deaths, I can now go 11kills 15 assists, and 8 deaths. Technically, it is almost even, but it helps my team out. Plus I am taking my time to shoot down every enemy air support, and taking out their tactical and lethal gear.

  My K/D ratio sucks. Gonna be completely honest here. I'm sitting at a .95 and climbing.

  Too much time spent being reckless and putting myself into situations where I will die 90% of the time.
  
  I also made the mistake of letting my boys play on my account, knowing full well that they cannot seem to EVER go positive! lol
  
  But that has changed now. They have their own accounts, and I'm trying to play a lot smarter. I'm lowering my chances of getting into encounters I can't win, and making sure to nail the guys that I can have good success at winning that engagement.
  
  The whole time I'm doing this, I play the objective. I do what needs to be done to benefit my team as a whole. If I have to sacrifice myself to deny tags I will do that. If I have to watch my teammates' back as he enters a potential killing ground, I will.
  
  I don't care about my K/D ratio. It doesn't prove anything to me. But to see it climb, to see myself nearing positive in my career stats, that shows me I am improving as a player. That's a good feeling. So I use my K/D as a guideline to improvement, but not as something to brag about or use as a tool for hate.
  
  Having K/D ratio taken out of the game would be a good thing. You want to see what your K/D is? Figure it out from your stats. But I don't think it needs to be blatantly focused on throughout the entire online experience. Too many d-bags use it as a reason to ruin the fun of the game.

I agree. A lot of focus is on KDR. And it's nice to be above 1 for sure. I am very streaky, and ususally ahover between 1.5 around .5 in any given game, because i'm trying to play the objectives.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE HC Dom, and i've said it before, but playing the objectives, you will out score everyone just going for kills everytime. I'm not saying you'll be #1, and yes, if you get 4 kills and 10 captures, the guy with 50 kills will out-xp you, but as a general rule, it's safe to say the guy playing the objectives with 15 kills will outscore the guy with 20 kills who didn't help cap or defend anything.

and like the OP said, i love exploring new guns. Last night was all about akimbo P99's and then leveling up the .44 MAG.

I also make up silly challenges for myself. like last night i killed the entire team as they tried to take A on hard hat, and i used the 44 mag. Thank god there were only 5 of them!!!

it was hella funny, and they came and stomped me right after that, but still...

In short, FUN > KDR

  I have never understood why people, worry so much about K/D ratio, But i have a low K/D ratio .68 but that is up from .21 and it may go on higher and it may drop lower ........ I really dont care,
  I am now Prestige 17 and do more playing around with weapons and perks than ever , I have had other players ask me how could i be a P17 with only a K/D .68 ....... I repond with "Dying a lot" so they could have a higher K/D

agree medal of honor airborne ps3 had no k/d or w/l and no killstreaks i still have the game
