Colonel Lev Kravchenko… that name haunts Grigori Weaver to this day, but he won’t back down. Returning to service after losing his eye to Kravchenko in 1963, Weaver went on to join the likes of Frank Woods and Jason Hudson. Ready to hit the ground running, Weaver has proven himself an expert in the fight against all enemies, living and undead.
Available now in Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone™, this younger version of Weaver from the original Black Ops joins NATO via the Tracer Pack: Weaver Operator Bundle in Season Four Reloaded. Here’s the rundown:
Meet Weaver
Full Name: Grigori Weaver
Date of Birth: 11/10/1936
Nationality: Russian
Faction: NATO
Blood Type: A+
First Language: Russian
Service: CIA Special Activities Division
1943 — Weaver’s mother flees Soviet Union with her children, settles in USA.
1954 — Enlists in US Army. Outstanding performance in Ranger school, and Russian language skills earn him quick recruitment by CIA’s Special Activities Division Special Operations Group (SAD/SOG).
1963 — Captured during mission to Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakh SSR. Loses left eye to Soviet Colonel Lev Kravchenko. Returns to field ops within weeks, as effective as ever.
Peer Assessment: Weaver is liked and respected by his fellow CIA Operators. His longest professional partnership is with Clandestine Service Officer Jason Hudson, who he has accompanied on multiple missions and assisted on interrogations and PsyOps. His Russian heritage, once a source of distrust in the Agency, is now seen as a key asset in special operations against the USSR.
Weaver also enjoys a close working relationship with Frank Woods and Alex Mason. Woods, who generally treats colleagues with contempt and derision, displays a grudging respect for Weaver, who can be every bit as hard-nosed and lethal in the field as Woods himself.
Agency leaders at Langley voiced concerns regarding Weaver’s return to active duty so soon after his traumatic experience at Baikonur. But Hudson cleared Weaver without reservation, advising the Director of Central Intelligence that Weaver is “uniquely crucial and indispensable” to ongoing operations against rogue elements of the KGB.
Bundle Intel: Infiltrate and Compromise
Weaver doesn’t leave anything to chance, bringing along three Legendary Weapon Blueprints: the “Desolation” Assault Rifle and the “Desert Heat” SMG (both featuring Blue and Purple Tracer Fire) and the highly lethal “Krossbow Kollector” Special weapon.
In addition to Weaver’s default Operator Skin — “Kremlin’s Eye” — you’ll also unlock the undead “Zombie Decay” Finishing Move (which allows any Operator to lure a zombie into eliminating their enemy!), the “Courier of Death” Animated Emblem, the “Bloodshot” Animated Calling Card, the “Projected Status” Watch, and the “Raven” Charm.
Visit the in-game Store now to purchase the Tracer Pack: Weaver Operator Bundle for access to this O.G. Black Ops badass. Your teammates will thank you.
