IRL Event Celebrations: Babcock Trophy British Army vs. Royal Navy Rugby Match and the Texas Rangers
Besides in-game offerings, the Endowment is bringing the Military Appreciation Month celebrations across the globe!
Firstly, the Call of Duty Endowment is proud to have supported the annual British Army vs. Royal Navy Rugby Match for the Babcock Trophy that took place on May 4. Long considered one of the biggest days in military sport, the Army Navy match showcases one of the fiercest rivalries in rugby and has been an annual fixture since 1907. The match took place on May 4 and the British Army was crowned the winner and took home the coveted Babcock Trophy.
In celebration of Military Appreciation Month, the Endowment is proud to partner with the reigning world champion, Texas Rangers, with special in-stadium programming to honor veterans. Be sure to tune in or head to the ballpark in Arlington on May 15!
About the Call of Duty Endowment
The Endowment has placed more than 125,000 veterans in jobs since 2009. That’s equal to 23 vets placed per day over the last 14 years, creating more than $7 billion in economic value for U.S. and U.K. veterans and their families. Last year, the average cost to place a veteran in a job was $618, about 1/13th the cost per placement of U.S. government’s efforts.
