[UPDATE] THE BATTLE OF VERDANSK HAS BEGUN – INFILTRATE NOW

It is time to fight the Battle of Verdansk.

If you have not done so already, report immediately to your battle station – in civilian terms, your platform of choice and Call of Duty: Warzone – and gather your squad.

All flight paths to both fronts – Verdansk and Rebirth Island – have been re-routed to the Battle of Verdansk. Your regular operations will soon return alongside the battle, so keep calm and carry onward to your most important mission yet: the complete destruction of this war machine.

As you step aboard the infil plane, HQ asks you to remain focused, stay true to your squad, and remember the following:

“Whatever we do, we do it together”

Special Forces Operators:

In a few moments, we will deploy our first squads for the Battle of Verdansk.The eyes of the community and Verdansk are upon you – this task will not be an easy one, as your enemy is well-equipped, well-armored, and on a near-unstoppable collision course with the Verdansk Train Station.
 
Take this time now until 1030 Hours PT to gather your squad and practice within the Warzone. During this “target practice hour,” all Operators will receive Double Player XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP just by engaging in Verdansk or Rebirth Island.

HQ has identified the following armaments that you should familiarize yourself with before this encounter, all of which are standard issue:

For your Primary Weapon, we advise becoming proficient in the AK-47, FARA 83, and C58 assault rifles, if you have not done so already. As for your secondary, know the strengths and weaknesses of the RPG-7. All these weapons are identified as being from the Cold War era, and no need to equip them manually – HQ is providing them to you on the infil plane, although your Primary Weapon will be randomly selected from one of the three.

A reminder on HQ’s intel: there will be a “playlist update” at approximately 10:30 a.m. PT – do not quit out of Warzone if you are playing prior to this update, as it will happen in real time and not require a re-launch of the game. Just keep checking the Play tab for a live update that will bring about the start of the Battle.

No matter when you decide to infiltrate, ready up – the battle begins at 1030 Hours PT.

ADDITIONAL ORDERS – INFERNAL MACHINERY SPOTTED IN VERDANSK! BE READY TO FIGHT ON 19 AUGUST, 1030 HOURS PST, ARRIVE EARLY FOR DOUBLE XP REWARDS AND FIRING PRACTICE

Operators on all fronts:

In mere hours from now, the biggest battle Verdansk has ever seen will take place. No matter your country – no matter your division – no matter who you are and what you bring to the warzone…

We want you.

Your target is a heavily armored train – a moving fortress with multiple, lethal turrets, but we’ve identified weak points. Your primary objectives are to plant TNT charges in the tunnel by Verdansk Hospital, where we know it will pass through according to the latest intel.

If all goes well, that mountain crumbles with that monstrosity still in it. Worst case scenario? We’re sending you in with rifles and launchers for a reason, soldier.

Until today, you fought against each other. NATO against Warsaw Pact. Coalition against Allegiance. Now, with this new threat, we are all one squad for this mission.

Rally yourself and the three strongest members of your strike team for this operation – it’s the first of its kind, as we all need to work in tandem to scratch that death machine off the map.

If we get the job done well during the Battle of Verdansk, rest assured: you and the squad will be rewarded for your efforts. Custom firepower and plenty of special keepsakes are all up for grabs, including some for being a part of this massive mission. But of course, those who do significant damage to this enemy and rendezvous to the exfil point in time will get some additional rewards that will make them stand out from the greenhorns in our ranks.

Another important order: nobody should go into this battle cold. All normal operations will continue in Warzone^TM until 1030 Hours (PT) on 19 August when the battle begins. Not only do we recommend your attendance, we encourage it: between 930 and 1029 Hours (PT) on 19 August, all Operators will receive Double Player XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP by playing Warzone.

Attention Operators.

We need all squads on deck for a joint operation at 1030 PST on August 19. The location is Verdansk, within the warzone. Intel from the frontline has revealed a new kind of weapon inbound to this location. We haven’t had eyes on it, but we know it’s bigger than anything we’ve seen before.

Be ready to squad up, intercept, and neutralize the target. This is likely to be a coordinated fight with all squads working together to get the job done.
