Kill Confirmed

// MULTIPLAYER MODES // STANDARD

Running rampant: Much like Team Death Match, Kill Confirmed is a run-and-gun type game mode, but more importantly it’s a running mode. You can very well be the key to your team’s victory without firing a single bullet. Throw on some perks and weapons that keep you light and fast and scoop up some Dog Tags.

Dog Tags often mean danger: Dog Tags require an elimination, and the objective is to collect them and win. This means that if there’s a single dog tag in the open, then there’s likely someone watching it to see if they can collect yours when you attempt to scoop it. Take the indirect approach and eliminate the threat before moving in, or get clever and toss a smoke for cover before heading in to confirm tags.

Shotguns and SMGs: Although Kill Confirmed can be played on any of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 core maps, Strike maps included in Face Off variants, the fights that are the most important will take place in short range. Getting shot from long range is a real threat, but being able to eliminate your opponent up close so that you can score a point when you collect their Dog Tag is far more valuable.

Mode Details

Team Size: 1-6 Players

Mission Parameters

Eliminate the enemy team and collect the Dog Tags they drop upon death. Every player, including you, drops a Dog Tag after getting eliminated.

Downed enemies will drop a red Dog Tag; run over one of these to score a point and earn a score toward your Scorestreaks. Downed allies will drop a blue Dog Tag; run over one of these to prevent the enemy team from scoring a point while adding to your own personal score.

Match Win Conditions

In Public Matches, the first team to collect the required number of enemy Dog Tags, 75 by default, wins the match. Or the team that has collected the most Dog Tags when the match timer runs out wins the match.

Main XP Gains

Collecting enemy and friendly Dog Tags.

 Eliminating enemies.

Key Terms and Definitions

Tag

Another term for a Dog Tag.

Topline Tactics

  • Prioritize grabbing Dog Tags, both enemy and friendly.
  • Help eliminate enemy Operators.
  • Use Dog Tags as bait to ambush enemy Operators.

Recruit Tactics

Collect Reds to Stay Ahead. Collect Blues to Not Lose!

Kill Confirmed is not just about eliminating enemy players; it’s also about collecting their Dog Tags. If you see one on the ground, whether it’s a friendly tag or an enemy tag, collect it. Do this simply by running over it. Even if this means you’re eliminated immediately after you collect the tag, you have likely helped your team (either by increasing the score or by preventing the enemy team from doing so).

Stick With Your Team

All it takes is one member of your team to survive a fight. If everyone except the last person on your team is eliminated in a scramble, then that surviving teammate can collect all the Dog Tags left on the ground. Although both sides may have had casualties, the spoils go to the victor, and the whole team benefits.

Stay Close to Your Equipment

There is a variety of Operator equipment you can use that is very much “set and forget.” However, in a mode like Kill Confirmed, forgetting about the Blast Trap that just gained an elimination for you can also mean losing out on the Dog Tag that just dropped on the ground. If you’re setting traps with your equipment, stay nearby and collect those Dog Tags.

Advanced Tactics

Bring a Friend to the Fight

There’s nothing worse for your team than being caught alone or becoming overextended. Even if you’re skilled enough to take out three enemy Operators, all it takes is a fourth to eliminate you before you collect your Dog Tags — gaining the enemy team a point while your team gains nothing.

Having that teammate with you not only makes fights easier, but it also significantly raises the odds of your team being able to collect Dog Tags if one of you goes down.

Flashbang and Collect

Whether it be Concussions or Flashbangs, tossing one of them before you move out of cover to collect enemy dog tags can prevent the trading a point for a point.

Remember, if you see Dog Tags sitting there, so can your opponents. If someone has a long sightline to a group of tags, they may be waiting for an enemy to grab them. However, you can cut off their sightline with a Concussion Grenade or two, allowing you to collect those Dog Tags more easily.

Bait Your Tags, Not Your Friends

If there’s a single friendly tag in the distance, it’s okay to sit back in a sniper nest and wait for someone to come for it. Either you’ll take out your opponent as they go for it, giving your team time to grab both the friendly tag and the enemy tag, or the enemy will pick up the tag and you’ll down them at the same time.

Eliminating an opponent who just collected one of your teammate’s Dog Tags usually ends in an even one for one. It’s not a good idea to let multiple tags float out there, so try not to make it a habit of letting even one remain available for pickup. However, if you want to use one for bait because you think you can take another one or two in return, then go for it and remember:
