Prebrief

Deploy to the Avalon Heliport where passengers book scenic rides over the mountainous landscape. Trade longshots across the Helipad or climb to the top of the air traffic control Tower for its commanding views. Stealthy Operators may prefer to move under the landing deck across the Ramp or stick to the Terminal and Hangar for interior battles.

Travel wisely: Head right to the Helipad to duke it out in long-ranged battles, the Hangar for mid-ranged plays, and down into the Ramp and Substation for a closer battle. Take the route that works for you and adjust your Loadout accordingly when an objective requires taking a different path.

Anything at hand: The Tower isn’t the only power position here. Mount up by the downed helicopter, the barrels and desks placed around corners, and on top of vehicles. By using everything at your disposal, you’re a more unpredictable player than the one who always sprints for the highest position.

Clear the air: The last thing you need here is a jammed airspace, unless it’s your side’s Scorestreaks filling up the sky. There are few obstructions between the land and sky here, so have a Launcher Loadout on hand to counter enemy aerial streaks.

Advanced Map Tips

Tower Control — Alpha (A)

The Tower is a guaranteed draw throughout the match. Its views over the Helipad are unmatched, making it an ideal vantage point for sharpshooters. Join in the fun and use it as a sniper’s nest or equip a Shotgun and blast enemies in the staircase, keeping it safe from enemy hands. For a quicker way in and out, climb over the low roof on the Tower’s west side.

View from the Bus — Beta (B)

The bus is a prime counter position to the opposing Tower with a wide view of the Helipad. Though you don’t get the height advantage, the bus itself offers decent protection with the ability to quickly move out of sight when you need to reset and heal up. If you’re feeling reckless, it’s only a short sprint to get inside the center helicopter.

Down Below — Gamma (Γ)

While the Helipad and Hangar draw the attention up top, don’t neglect the importance of the Dock and the underground Substation and Ramp that it leads to. This route offers a much more focused path up the map with several access points leading back up top when you’re ready to rejoin the longer fight. Control this area to keep the enemy from sneaking behind your lines.

Map Focused Loadouts

Make a successful landing and get out safely using these suggested Loadouts for Extraction.

Down Range

Sniper Rifle, No Combat Specialty

Excelling in the Tower and across the Helipad, this Loadout carries a hard-hitting Sniper Rifle and two Field Upgrades via the Prepper Wildcard. Mark your next respawn with the Tactical Insertion and earn bonus score for drawing attention with the Signal Lure.

Deploy the Spy Cam and Blast Trap when you need to defend your position and watch for enemies near equipment spotted with Engineer. Forgo a Combat Specialty in favor of the Gearhead Perk; with this savvy Loadout you can boost your Field Upgrade charges and hack enemy equipment.

Dock Dweller

Assault Rifle, Enforcer Combat Specialty

With excellent handling and mobility, the GPR 1 is ideally suited for action on the map’s lower elevation areas in the Dock, Substation, and Ramp. By sticking to an Assault Rifle over an SMG, you’re more versatile in those moments when you need to head up top.

The Danger Close Wildcard and Scavenger Perk will keep you stocked with C4, a great trap for blasting pursuing enemies in the map’s lower confines. Equip Bruiser to heal up after getting a melee elimination and Double Time to close the gap when moving across longer sightlines. Keep slaying to maintain the Enforcer bonuses.

Heavy Gunner

LMG, Strategist Combat Specialty

Take a heavier approach with this LMG-equipped Loadout suited for sustained combat along the Helipad and Hangar. Blast aerial streaks with your Launcher and deploy Smoke when repositioning in dangerous territory. Quartermaster will recharge your equipment over time, rewarding patient play.

Perk Greed allows you to pick up Flak Jacket and Tac Mask with the Trophy System as the icing on top, helping you shrug off enemy grenades when holding important positions. Stay on the objective and take out enemy equipment for the score bonuses given by the Strategist Combat Specialty.
