Part 1: Digital Editions: Standard, Cross-Gen, and Ultimate (PlayStation, Xbox and PC)

Expect incredible value and masses of content no matter which version of Call of Duty: Vanguard you purchase. For those wanting to pre-order, there are three distinct editions to choose from: Standard (MSRP $59.99), Cross-Gen Bundle (MSRP $69.99), and Ultimate (MSRP $99.99).

Digital Standard Edition (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)

Call of Duty: Vanguard is a cross generation game, with cross play and cross progression support. This means you can play with your friends no matter which platform they are on.

Console owners: If you wish to play the Digital Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, this is also possible, but only via backward compatibility. If you wish to take advantage of a bespoke next generation console experience, with higher framerate, hardware-based graphical improvements, shorter load times, and other advantages compared to the Standard Edition, we recommend the Cross-Gen or Ultimate Edition.

Cross-Gen Bundle Upgrade (Console Owners): If you decide to preorder the Digital Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard, you have the option to upgrade to the Cross Gen Bundle separately and at a later time if you wish, giving you access to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S version of the game.

PC owners: The Standard edition pre-ordered via Battle.net entitles you to the Standard Edition of the game. There is no requirement to purchase a Cross-Gen Bundle unless you wish to play on console as well as PC, which also includes:

The Cross-Gen Bundle allows you to play through a deeply engaging single player Campaign, a signature Multiplayer experience, and an exciting Zombies experience within the same console family (PlayStation 4 and 5, or Xbox One and Series X|S).

As you might expect, there are no cross-gen bundle editions of the game on PC.

Digital Ultimate Edition (PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, PC)

The Call of Duty: Vanguard Ultimate Edition offers even more value and a host of rewards across multiple games, simply for pre-ordering. Here’s what to expect from this edition of the game:

Part 2: Console: Physical Editions (Disc-based): PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

PlayStation 4: This version will have an option to upgrade to PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Note the PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PS5 version of the game. Note that you cannot upgrade a Standard Edition disc to the discless version of the PS5.

Xbox One: This version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X|S.

The Standard Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (MSRP $69.99 USD). This includes:

Call of Duty®: Vanguard (PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S).

            PlayStation 5: This works on the PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive. This version of the game will not operate on a discless PlayStation 5. For a compatible version with the discless PlayStation 5, choose the digital Standard or Cross-Gen Bundle.

            Xbox Series X|S: This includes both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions of the game on disc.

Previous generation compatibility:

            PlayStation 5 Standard Edition will not operate on a PlayStation 4.

            Xbox Series X|S Standard Edition includes an Xbox Series X|S disc that is also playable on an Xbox One.

There are no physical editions of the game on PC.

Part 3: Task Force One Pack Details (Ultimate Edition)

            The “Breacher” Assault Rifle includes special Tracer Rounds and eight pre-configured attachments. Built upon a weapon that is viable in most combat situations, the “Breacher” leans into its ability to be kitted for close-quarters, with several attachments coming together to maximize its fire rate on a level that competes with the fastest-firing Submachine Guns.

            The “Snowstorm” Rifle includes special Tracer Rounds and seven pre-configured attachments. A preferred weapon for one Polina Petrova, this long-range tool can deliver devastating one-shot eliminations with ease. Maximum damage can be achieved through two of the seven attachments on the “Snowstorm,” as a magazine with extra-large caliber bullets and an ammo type that is armor piercing combine to devastate both infantry and vehicular targets.

            The “Thunderhead” Submachine Gun that includes special Tracer Rounds and eight pre-configured attachments. Among these attachments for this accuracy-focused Submachine Gun are an extended magazine with 9mm ammunition, a short barrel that increases fire rate slightly and damage range significantly, and a recoil-boosting muzzle that uses that force to further improve fire rate.

Pre-Order Reward: Frontline Weapon Pack

If you digitally pre-order any edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard, expect to receive the Frontline Weapons Pack, available to use in Vanguard when the game launches on November 5, and in Warzone when the new map launches later this year.

Two Weapon Blueprints:

            The “Shredder” Submachine Gun is configured with seven attachments that turn this workhorse into a bigger threat for mid-range engagements. This includes a magazine attachment that increases the caliber of bullets for better damage at range, and a long barrel that improves accuracy, and some stability when maneuvering more slowly. Complete with some additional parts for tempering increased recoil, it allows this weapon to compete with some of the Assault Rifles at those prolonged distances.

            The “Wildwood” Submachine Gun is configured with eight attachments, one of which is a barrel that changes the weapon from a fully automatic close-quarters tool to a burst-fire weapon. Combined with a magazine attachment chambered in higher caliber ammunition, this variation on the highly mobile Submachine Gun via the Weapon Blueprint makes it a unique addition to your loadouts on day one. So long as your aim is true, this weapon can be used to aim around corners and down targets with a single burst.

Pre-Order Reward: Arthur Kingsley Operator**

If you digitally pre-order any edition of Call of Duty: Vanguard, expect to receive Arthur Kingsley as an Operator. Sergeant Kingsley of the 9^th Parachute Battalion, British Army will be available for use in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at a later date.
