Prebrief

Revisit 1968 Vietnam at Summit Watch, your new home away from home and one of Hudson’s marked sites for Pantheon moles working throughout the war. A huge tree crusher has flattened the landscape, opening up room for this artillery base to see some active combat. Some buildings have taken hits in the fight, as the damage opens new pathways through the map.

Barrage
// MULTIPLAYER MAPS // CORE

Look both ways when crossing: The interconnected roads within the base offer quick pathways between points of interest, but you’re highly vulnerable when traveling over them. Check your minimap and surroundings to make better judgements on when to cross over.
One after the other: The Hunter’s Instinct Perk works wonders here, indicating the direction of the next closest enemy whenever you eliminate a target. Barrage is a compact map, and that extra intel may prevent you from getting flanked and losing your streak.
Marksman spotted: Though all weapon classes perform well on Barrage, Marksman Rifles deserve a special mention. The map’s many mid-range sightlines coupled with its longer views down the roads make them a good pick, packing power and accuracy for pinpoint eliminations.
Advanced Map Tips
Crush ‘em at the Tree Crusher — Alpha (A)

The behemoth Tree Crusher offers a huge cover piece that can be used to ambush passing enemies from multiple angles. Get down in the dirt on its south side to attack enemies from below, crouching under the machine to switch sides without giving up your position.
Walk Right In — Beta (B)

The Barracks, Command Center, and Comms building have all received hits to their structure, leaving gaping openings in their wake. Use the newly opened pathways to get in and out of these areas with ease, though be prepared to encounter enemy Operators using them for the same advantage.
King Up — Gamma (Γ)

The Command Center offers incredible views over Crate and Overlook with a pivot out to the Gun Pits, as well. Though the building may attract enemies from all over, the risk is well worth it when you hit your stride and start earning streaks from the power position.
Map Focused Loadouts
Keep cool on the front lines with these suggested Loadouts designed for Barrage.
Striker
Assault Rifle, Enforcer Combat Specialty

Wield the reliable Kilo 141 Assault Rifle in this aggressive Loadout geared toward building up your streaks with aid from Signal Lure, Hunter’s Instinct, Bankroll, and Flyswatter. Pop Signal Lure when you’re dug in to earn bonus score for eliminations, with Hunter’s Instinct marking the next target in line. Take down aerial streaks with the aid of Flyswatter while still carrying a Pistol.
Scavenger will keep you stocked up on ammo and your Frag and Smoke Grenades. Use the Smoke Grenade to obscure vulnerable sightlines and keep slaying to maximize uptime on the Enforcer Combat Specialty bonus.
Detonator
Marksman Rifle, Strategist Combat Specialty

Down enemies with the powerful SWAT 5.56 Marksman Rifle and blow them up with two stacks of C4 via the Danger Close Wildcard, easily refillable through your Assault Pack, also doubled up with a faster charge rate through the Gearhead Perk.
Equip Dispatcher to reduce the cost of non-lethal Scorestreaks like the Scout Pulse and UAV, helping you determine the best place to plant your explosives. With the Strategist Combat Specialty activated, earn a score bonus for destroying enemy equipment or hack it with Gearhead.
Trench Gunner
Shotgun/SMG, Recon Combat Specialty

Combine stealth with all out aggression using this Overkill-equipped Loadout sporting a Shotgun and SMG for close-quarters mayhem. Grab the Stim Shot to recover lost health and the Combat Axe to swiftly and quietly dispatch foes. Plant the Spring Mine along the covered lane by the Lower Gun Pit, inside the Command Center, or any other high-traffic, confined area.
Plan your routes with the increased minimap area via Forward Intel and sneak up on enemies using Ninja with assistance from Cold-Blooded to up your defenses while moving through the map. With the Recon Combat Specialty, you won’t leave death skulls when eliminating enemies, allowing you to lock down important areas for longer before more enemies come knocking.
