POI Overview
To streamline your prison break, we’ve covered five major points of interest on Vorkuta. Click “Learn More” at the bottom of each image for additional tips and insights on the POI.
Main Spawn Point: Trucks (Northeast)
Battle around the two vehicles and their adjacent crates, the only major cover pieces in this spawn before moving into the Warehouse or up through Wreckage. The Warehouse approaches the lower Coalyard and Wreckage points toward the Warheads building. Both points meet at a snowbank overlooking the central Hub.
Tactical Location: Hub
The central Hub sits above the Coalyard at the center of the map with sightlines to the Excavator, Lab, Pipe, Warheads, and Wreckage. Try your luck taking cover in the middle cog or opt for a more cautious approach, watching for enemy movement before attempting the deadly crossing.
Tactical Location: Warehouse
The tri-level Warehouse is larger than it first appears on the minimap. The lower level opens onto the Coalyard; climb to the second level featuring doorways toward Trucks and the Lab. For the height advantage, climb the yellow ladder up to the third level, offering views over the whole interior and toward Wreckage.
Tactical Location: Coalyard
The Coalyard stretches over the entire northwest section of the map. Its lowered elevation keeps it largely out of view from the central Hub, though parts of the Excavator, the corner sandbags, and Elevator look down on the area. When traversing the location, it’s advised to use the mine carts and snowbanks for cover.
Main Spawn Point: Tippler (Southwest)
There’s little cover in the Tippler spawn, prompting Operators to move into the Elevator building, down the middle path toward Hub, or along the far south route following the mine carts toward Warheads. Elevator and Warheads provide useful vantage points; opt for the middle path for quick access to the Excavator.

Warm up those legs: It’s a frozen day at the gulag. Keep your blood flowing with constant movement around the environment, making it difficult to pin down your position. By fully exploring the mid-sized map, you’ll be ready to compete no matter where the fight begins.
Warning signs: Sharpen your senses with the Recon Combat Specialty to gain a HUD indicator displaying the direction of enemies outside of your immediate view. On a larger map like Vorkuta, that split second heads up can make all the difference in the outcome of your next skirmish.
Reach out: If your weapon supports it, consider the Long Barrel attachment to extend your damage range across the map. Vorkuta features a lot of open space, so even if you’re focused on close-quarters combat, you’re bound to run into some longer ranged fights.
Advanced Map Tips
Cycle the Excavator — Alpha (A)
The Excavator provides heavy defense interlaced with open views toward the Hub and Coalyard, not to mention climbing up top for an uninterrupted view of your surroundings. Get inside the fallen piece of machinery and cycle between the different views it offers while seeking enemy targets. If you need a quick escape, choose from one of several exit points to throw off your pursuer.
Ambush in the Wreckage — Beta (B)
The northeast Wreckage area features large bits of broken metal infrastructure lying in the snow. When there’s enemy activity nearby, use the cover they provide to hide your Operator from view until it’s the perfect time to strike. If you suspect an enemy is doing the same, toss a grenade to see if you get a hitmarker before moving through.
Warheads Double View — Gamma (Γ)
The southern Warheads building provides two strong vantage points, one facing directly over the center Hub and the other looking down toward Wreckage. The combined views offer coverage over a large portion of the map’s exterior with just a short distance between them. Watch the Lab window on the other side of the Hub; the view provides a natural counter to the Warheads building.
Map Focused Loadouts
Fight your way out of this prison using these suggested Loadouts designed to dominate Vorkuta.
Heavy Support
LMG, Strategist Combat Specialty
Opt for heavy armaments with an LMG and a Launcher, using Fast Hands for fast swapping between the two. Disrupt sightlines with a Smoke Grenade and target positions with the Molotov. Using the Prepper Wildcard, head into battle with two Field Upgrades: The Assault Pack to keep you stocked and War Cry to rally your team during critical plays.
In objective modes like Domination and Hardpoint, benefit from faster healing while capturing and holding objectives via Guardian, then swap it out for Quartermaster or Gearhead in Team Deathmatch and other slaying modes.
Vorkuta Phantom
Assault Rifle, Enforcer Combat Specialty
Strike from the shadows and disorient your enemies. Equip a Suppressor to compliment Ghost, keeping you off the enemy radar so long as you stay on the move. Deploy your Decoy to distract foes and control your next respawn via Tactical Insertion.
With Perk Greed, you get the Enforcer Combat Specialty bonuses while still grabbing Ghost. Find the most dangerous opponent quickly with use with Assassin, stay armed via Scavenger, and use Bankroll to reach Scorestreaks faster. This Loadout rewards aggressive play, so get in their face and score big.
Warden
Marksman Rifle, Enforcer Combat Specialty
Equip a burst-fire Marksman Rifle with great stability and a fast fire rate, perfect for competing in Vorkuta’s mid- and long-ranged sightlines. Activate Signal Lure to reveal your position and earn bonus score for eliminating enemies, combined with Assassin and Bankroll to greatly boost your streak-earning potential.
This Loadout also unlocks the Enforcer Combat Specialty rewarding your Operator with extra movement speed and health regen rate after every elimination. String takedown after takedown to keep the bonus rolling as you reach toward the next Scorestreak.
